The notion that Patrick Mahomes is the reason you cut Herbert when Burrow and Allen also has to beat him is weird. Bills team just got gutted, Burrow is always on the IR, Herbert now has one of the most solid lines, a great coach for once who protects the QB with the run game, and a solid defense.

I agree totally with Kirk on the $50M quarterbacks. Start Jordan, bench Tua, cut Trevor. I came to that decision way quicker than Kirk did, though. 😉😂 EDIT: Kirk and I are on board with the old faces in new places. Smart man!

Jordan Love hasn't played much at all. He looks good, but we have seen so many QBs do that well for this short of time and fall off.

@@alvinmorgan1467 Tua did lead the NFL in passing yards last year, while being 5th in TD passes and rating and 10th in QBR. In 2022 Tua was second in rating, third in QBR, and 12th in yards despite playing only 13 games. Trevor hasn't come close to that in his three years. My point stands.

@@albertg2373 like who? Nick Foles? He was a career backup and even when he came back to earth after his Super Bowl run, he was very serviceable. You saw how Purdy followed up 2022. IMO it's far more common for QBs to never show off at all than to sparkle and then drop off.

@@JohnDrummondPhoto serviceable =/= worth 50 million. Rex Grossman, rg3, Brock oswilier, Mack Jones, Geno Smith, Nick Foles, Ryan Tanahill, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, Mike Glennon, Maddox. Not saying love will be as bad as them, heck he could be great, just saying lots of QBs had a good half season run like Love did. It's just too early to tell for sure he is a clear "start" for a $50 mil contract.

Love's season was on par with Rodgers' first year starting. If you compare the first 16 games to be even with the 16 games Rodgers had in 2008. Love had more TDs, fewer INTs. Rodgers had a better QB rating and more yards. Rodgers had an experienced WR/TE to throw to, Love had rookies and 2nd year players.

Start Herbert, Bench Burrow, Cut Allen. I just feel the Bills window is closing, that team reminds me of the Rivers chargers team when they had their window in the 2000s. Burrow is great but might be a team readying to implode, stars asking to be traded left and right, and that defense is declining. Herbert has had the worst situation these past few years, but him and Harbaugh together seems like a match made in heaven.

Hendrickson has already walked the trade talk back and is at OTAs, Higgins simply wants a new contract and wants to be paid - unfortunately, he's a number one receiver on a team that already has a number one receiver. It may be a hot take but i do think the Bill's window is over, or at least on pause. I think their coach is getting fired after this season when they just miss the playoffs (They only barely made it last year). Josh Allen is great but the team around him was chopped up during this offseason and I wouldn't expect them to get their crap back together for at least 2 seasons. Burrow is the start, definitively, objectively, no question.

In 3 years he's never thrown for more than 25 TDs, which is pretty terrible for a full time starter, his TD/int ratio is under 1.5 (awful), and he just doesnt move the ball down the field very well. None of this to say he's bad, but he's pretty aggressively mid, and yet for years now he's been talked about like he's one of the best QBs in the league

This dude just said that he’s starting Allen *OVER* Burrow for winning a Super Bowl first. Never mind that Allen is 0-2 in his career versus Burrow (and he would’ve been 0-3 if Damar Hamlin hadn’t nearly died on their first meeting), he’s 1-3 in the Divisional Round of the playoffs including losing the last 2 games at home! Allen had 20+ turnovers last year! Oh, and he’s now without Diggs and Davis, his 2 best receivers from the last 4 years going into 2024.
