Start Building your Loot Rooms correctly in RUST -  

Just do barrels you can fit 8 boxes in one loot room vertical and horizontal

You can place the same amount pf boxes if you put two on each side and one at the front

That is the OLD paradigm. The new paradigm is to spread the loot out into more locked rooms to make them work for it by having to farm for more mats for rockets and or c4.

I usually use a ramps. You can fit 4 large boxes, 4 small and 2 shot gun traps to add a little suprise

You can place 3 large boxes on the triangle shelf. Just use the same box placement from underneath except for the very front one.

Man I wish I could go back to the old rust or even the legacy rust days missed them days man

You can place a small box in the middle of the 4 big ones.

Or use ramps, even if they raid the wall, they can loot but they cant get thrugh

I have a loot room way u can fit 6 boxes in one area and easy to loot with stairs. U should try it

Even withought barrels the first type of lootrooms is better. 3 small boxes is slightly nore space than a big box. You can place 6

You can also fit a small box on the triangle that doesn't get in the way

Add a campfire after box 2in the middle and have comfort healing ability

Issue with this, if I'm building my loot room, I'll need to have garage doors around that point. Because it doesn't work with double doors, so if I'm building a base that expands from my starter, I wouldn't have a loot room until a lot later.

We've been doing this since well before release. Just use barrels these days.

it's the exact same amount of storage if you place the boxes back further and put another box right in front and you can even put a small box on the bottom part if you put the large box against the side of the wall.

Use the method for the top 2 on the bottom to make sure you get all 4 boxes right on the first try

u could use barrels and have even more storage or use coffins

You can put 3 large boxes on the top triangle

I like doing the 4 on the bottom with gun racks on all 3 sides.

I miss storing stuff in grills. This loot room if mine would have 4 large boxes, 8 small boxes, and 4 grills ..soo much space for loot hoarding

I've tried for the 2 years I've played this game and I've NEVER gotten perfect 4 box placement I'm convinced it's impossible

usually i do 3 large and 3 small in the bottom sort of like a helixical spiral into each other because it's 1 more row of storage than 4 large boxes

Great now all my teammates can block me from accessing boxes

You can fit six large boxes and 4 small boxes the regular way tf😂

now raiders get 6 boxes for the price of 4

What i do is the first 3 boxes then a small box in the middle of them and a box on the right side next to the wall and do the same on the top

You wanna use small & large boxes for sorting

Na I like the 1st cuz I can place 8 small boxes and a campfire in it lol but use ramps

And if they raid top down and there is no "break" in the room they dont need to use another 2 c4 or 4 rockets to get to the bottom section of the loot room

You can fit 6 with a square tile. Getting the placement right for this is harder and unnecessary

Just have it the normal way and add to boxes is front of the on each side

It’s kinda hard to do but you can place 3 box’s on that triangle

Or you can pancake the roof so its cost more to raid if they go top down

yeah but i can fit 35 barrels and 12 bbqs in there

or just buy barrel dlc and you can place 8 barrels in half the space

why not just put 3 large boxes on top and bottom, same space, better looking and much faster to do
