Hey! Loads of corrections: the drukari are not as bad as you make them out mainly miss understood. They were here first and the we feel the eldar are the goodie goodie corruption. We are just having fun and if others have pain and suffering it’s just because they don’t know how to have real fun.
Anyone watching this now should know that Mandrakes are available in GW plastic, and anything else missing from the army that's actually useful (Court of the Archon, Beastmaster) can be easily proxied into the army with AoS miniatures. One of the Best parts of collecting Drukhari is their Kit-Bashing potential with things like Daughters of Khaine, Deepkin, Hedonites and Gravelords. I like the more hedonistic themes of the Drukhari, so readily proxy miniatures that have more....skin, like Witch Aelves and Sisters of Slaughter.
They are a fun and crazy faction to play as. They are currently middle of the road but so are 70 % of the factions. Let us know if you need anything and welcome to channel!
@@narrativecrusades707 I've been torn between Drukhari and the Aeldari set, which I would use to add to my existing Kabalites to start a Ynnari army. Either way I'm going dark lol, but less about the homonculi units and more the Kabals
as some one with upwards of 3500 pts worth of drukhari, the simple answer is Don't. at least not until we get the range update/codex, half our army was resin and it was removed from the store over the summer. only effective list right now is darklance spam ( 3x ravagers, 3x scourges) and imho this makes us a very one dimensional army at the moment. this may change once the range refresh actually happens (only evidence one is coming is the aforementioned emptying of the store) and an actual codex with some detachments to make some of our units useful again. avoid cults, specifically wyches they are shite right now. drazhar/incubi are a little better but due to how overwatch works now they are really hard to use as they get shot as soon as they get out of their transport and have very little survivability vs shooting. one upside is we need a lot of raiders, but your first three should be bought as ravagers. they are easy to magnetize and swap between both roles when needed.(ive got 3 ravagers and another 6 raiders)
Sorry for the long time it’s taken for us to reply to you. You are right about slot of older stuff and have provided genuine sound advice! If you like an army rules are never a reason for us to not collect them as rules change! But we wouldn’t advise the purchase of those old models which we hope will be replaced by GW sooner than later!
idk drukhari are bad right now in the current meta... a shooting army with like 3 mediocre shooting units and only 2 good ones. all the drukhari melee cant be used. they do no damage and have no durability. also way too slow to make it into combat. drukhari need advance and charge.
I am really resisting the urge to start Drukhari and this video is *not* helping! I have a nascent plan in the mind to deal with model availability issues and a somewhat unique theme; incorporating the AoS Sylvaneth as weird living Wraithbone pain-sucking monsters (stand in for Mandrakes, and possibly the Court of the Archon). The theme would be easy enough, an Archon who has got some sort of ancient pre-Fall relic that can animate Wraithbone into Warriors, sort of like Craftworks Wraith constructs but instead of being powered by an internal Eldar spirit stone they have to drain life and soul from things to keep themselves animated. One day 😄
