Start Fresh Without Starting Over with Windows 11 

If you want to find a file, then you wouldn't use the search menu. Instead you use the program "Everything" and instantly find your file, rather than waiting and waiting, until the search menu finds it (because Windows own Indexing is *bad* )

The reason people aren't switching to Windows 11 has nothing to due with being worried about having to learn a new version of Windows. I would guess that the vast majority aren't switching to Windows 11 due to having previously experienced Windows 11. Also, the TPM requirement doesn't help.

Meanwhile windows 10 start menu had all apps listed on the side, while on windows 11 you have to additionally click to show all apps

Really wished 11 kept the idea of a 10 style start menu like how XP and Classic were shared side by side as selectable options.

Windows 7 was peak desktop - for power users, it's gone downhill ever since. Whenever there is a "cross-platform" thing going on, desktop design principles are dropped. Tiles, endlessly nested menus, and removed options are the unfortunate result.

The Windows 11 start menu is worse than XP's, it's so simplistic it's complicated, The Windows 10 start menu I believe was perfection; app list on the left, pinned apps and folders (and live tiles) on the right but now it's small icons, an extra click for your apps list, and a recommendation section that I doubt anyone uses. So for me I'm going to use Start 11 and explorer patcher to both restore my precious start menu and make the app windows have sharp corners again because I don't know why the whole trend of rounding everything exists. It's something about it's calming to the eye and mind or something but to me it's the opposite; sharp corners relax me it feels natural but it's weird; XP to 7's windows I don't even realize were rounded like I didn't even pay any mind to it that's how the whole aspect of the OS blended together at least if you didn't go digging deep in it and unearthing fragments from Windows 3.1; but Windows 11's rounded corners feel forced.

Can we please just have Windows 7 back? PRETTY PLEASE? It worked... it wasn't ugly... the good ole' Start Menu was still there...

the 11 start menu makes finding anything but your programs and documents easier. it internet searches by default, making finding your own local stuff harder.

(No arguments pls, this is just my opinion) Drag an icon on Taskbar on the very left after arranging taskbar to the left, restarting explorer, then arranging the taskbar to center without restarting explorer? **Explorer crashes** Seeing Windows 10 strings in the Registry? **My life was a lie, Windows 11 is Windows 10** Task manager randomly crashing after being idle for 30 minutes? **What?** BSODs after prolonged sleep mode? **As expected!** Rounded corners disappearing when no graphics driver is present? **Oh, look, it's Windows 10!** Windows 11 Task Manager with Windows 10's Task Manager when broken? **Oh, I thought Task Manager is a whole new redesign!** Windows 11 Explorer with Windows 10 Taskbar when broken or no graphics drivers? **Actually, Windows 11 is Windows 10...** Explorer memory leaking... A LOT... after prolonged use? **I'm tired of restarting explorer since... when...** Strict hardware requirements? **Windows 10 was taken... redesigned... added updates and updated programs... and now suddenly needs much more hardware requirements?** No support for x86? **At least I'm on x64, but x86 can be significant for some people...** At least everything else is an upside.

This has to be the most tone deaf ad Microsoft ever created. Windows 11 is the opposite of I'm a PC with Windows 7. Windows 10 is still better than 11, stop lying to us. Windows 11 is not better or easier. I'd rather live with Windows 10 security madness after OCT 2025 than install Windows 11.

Make the everyday harder. I used Windows 11 about 5-6 months, and way more annoying than Windows 10. I rolled back to Win 10, and my pc simplified.

It would be great if Microsoft prioritise the applications on the "Start" menu. I often find myself that the application that I'm searching for is not displayed in the results. That is not great experience - makes me not use the "Start" menu.

File Explorer is a bit slow now, and the new Start menu is inconvenient, feels like a mobile user, disrespect to the desktop users. Windows, you guys should evolve more. But! Overall, I love the Windows 11! 😃💙

Windows 11 is literally just a reskin of Windows 10. Loading time are on par or even faster than 10 and gaming performance is the same. Really Windows 11 is basically just Windows 10 again.

Why do you keep ignoring valid complaints and criticism, Microsoft? I see that you only respond to comments that are praising Windows 11. You ignore all comments that bring up valid criticism and complaints. Also, the many things that Windows users are unhappy about with Windows 11, you continue to just ignore and you make no attempt at 'fixing' these issues. Why can't you just bring back the traditional Windows-style Start Menu? Why can't you bring back the previous right-click context menu? Why do we have to click on 'Show More Options' with the context menu? Why can't you return all the options that were available when right-clicking on the taskbar? WHY CAN'T YOU DO ANY OF THESE THINGS? Is there some logical reason why you insist on making Windows 11 more frustrating and less efficient than previous versions of Windows? Your design decisions are truly baffling. They defy logic. And to top it all off: you ignore everyone except those who mindless praise Windows 11. Wtf, Microsoft. Seriously.

I tried windows 11 with i9 14th gen and RTx 4080 super and 64g of ram for 3 days and I discovered that Ubuntu 22.04 X10 faster and stable over win11, blender crashed in a small tasks 😅 feeling like I'm using pentum 3 CPU

I love it when they say that upgrading to Windows 11 is easy (well, for supported PCs, yes). But you know what they end up upgrading? Their laptop, because the other one was deemed too ‘old’ to run Windows 11.

Shows how clueless Microsoft is. People don't want to be your guinea pigs. Stop testing your stuff in production. Don't add features we don't need or use. Start menu internet search is something we didn't ask for. You need to do what people are asking for instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. You have the Feedback Hub, remember? Lots of unfixed issues waiting to be fixed.

You want everyone to switch! But don't count on the fact that they won't develop machines to use newer Windows. TPM is also a joke. Now the processor bans are also included.
