Assalamu Alaykum. I spent seven years in Jeddah (from 1977 - 1984). Back then Jeddah was different and now it has been completely changed. Here I have to explain to you that what does “ JEDDAH “ means, it means Grandmother. As our mother ( the mother of all human kind, the wife of Prophet Adam PBUH) is buried here so the city was named after Her (Peace Be Upon Her) as Grandma (Jeddah). By the way “Al-Balad” means the city not town. I used to live in Al-Bald on King Abdul Aziz Ave.

I used to work on Greek ship.Our ship was chartted from Italy to Saudi Arabia.it was 1979 to1980.Every fifteen days we was at Jeedah.That time jeedah was a old old city. One market we go there to buy seicko watches and SHARP TAPE RECORDER.Tape recorder was a big thing that time.you refresh my old memories.Good luck for an other start.

Abrar Bhaiii ❤️ Good to see my city through your eyes ❤️ That pole is called “Jeddah Flagpole” and it was the highest stand alone pole in the world from 23rd Sep 2014 until 26th Dec 2021. Its height is 171m ❤️ now its second highest after Cairo Flagpole!

Bhai… Historic Jeddah is situated on the eastern shore of the Red Sea. From the 7th century AD it was established as a major port for Indian Ocean trade routes, channeling goods to Mecca. It was also the gateway for Muslim pilgrims to Mecca who arrived by sea. the 7th century AD when the 3rd Caliph Othman ibn Aaffan made it the official port of Makkah. This strict association with the Muslim annual pilgrimage (Hajj) gave Historic Jeddah a cosmopolitan population where Muslims from Asia, Africa and the Middle East resided and worked, contributing to the city`s growth and prosperity.

Saudi Arabia is so Beautiful Mashaallah. Abrar bhai you are the best You tuber, you show the Real beautiful Muslim Countries their People their Great Culture & hospitality no other Asian traveller shows. They only talk negative things about how Indians are Treated in this country & that Country instead of showing the Country. They should learn from you.
