START of PORTUGAL N2 in a MOTORHOME 

Hi we are travelling to Portugal again in October this time via the N2 so watching the stopovers you use gives us an insight as to what to expect, don't forget the three just words. Glad your enjoying your trip

We used to use the N roads through Portugal and hated it when the big motorways etc were put in. Its so lovely to see the little villages etc. I wish they had had aires when we were on that road. I think we were too early, in years, to be motorhoming.

A great start young Redders's , enjoyed this one . Made me laugh with the hose pipe . The amount of times I do that and it always gets you in the same place . I was going to suggest a watering can but mine got me yesterday just watering our tubs . Then to top it up , took my boys dog (temporary resident) down the local beach and he cocked his leg up my leg . There's gratitude for you . Looking forward to the next 700 kilometers , love from the old Redders's .

Love your blogs, we will be travelling the N2 at the end of this month lovely insight can’t wait. We will finish in the Algarve then back up through Spain (Mabee) that’s the beauty of Motorhoming. Keep up the good work see you are loving it, we have been all over Europe, including year caravining in Australia and touring Malaysia. I am in my late 70s and going strong. Makes UK vanlife look like very hard work in comparison! Wow what beautiful landscapes and gorgeous bridges! My husband used to be an architectural bridge designer so we like a good bridge! 🤓 So sad to hear about the wildfires, sounds good that you've veered off to look after your breathing as you recover from the covid-ick though. Glad to see you both looking well, hopefully the healing waters helped ❤. Sometimes taking an enforced diversion shows you some places you'd have missed out on otherwise doesn’t it? Glad you both are taking these fires seriously as it looks very dangerous that's why we did not pursue our travel through Portugal earlier this year but you both have re-ignited my fire to tour Portugal (Pardon the pun!). As you didnt even know which way to turn initially it was probably a good idea to 'plum' the route into the satnav. Has redders. Oved his driving seat? He doesnt look so sloping now.

Glad you're enjoying the N2, I'm heading up from Ávila to Chaves tomorrow and starting the route on Wednesday. Only going to take me 3 days, so not sure whether the passport is worth doing. Look fwd to watching the rest of the trip.

Nice video and a great idea for a future trip. Just one question that comes to mind. As you are using free overnight stops without facilities how do you manage emptying your toilet cassette and grey water? Are there convenient places to allow for this or do you plan stops at commercial sites every couple of days or so? Just wondering. Looking forward to the next instalment👍😉

What a nice way to travel. Great idea 🙂 Uou might also feel the sand coming in from Africa. Been a lot the last month. Just small particles in the air.
