Subbing odegaard and selling ozil is a criminal offence

As an Arsenal fan Ødegaard is great but he doesn’t touch Özil. Its actually absurd to say Özil underwhelmed. He didn’t create the most chances ever in a PL season to be called anything but an all timer.

Loved Hazard. Apart from Messi, I don’t think I’ve seen a player who you felt something would happen every time he got the ball as much as him

Cams let me down with that Özil take😔 Özil’s time at Arsenal was a success, it didn’t end well for whatever reason, but at his peak, he was comfortably our best player.

One thing about Xavi is that he won IFFHS playmaker of the year 4 times in a row ! He was also had that Modric factor of getting the pass before the assist. He’s on the same level as Iniesta.

17:33 Pogba start, Gundo bench and Thaigo sell. Easy. Thiago’s a benchwarmer his whole career, with/without injuries and even in his 30s, he’s getting displaced by two teenagers at Spain. Gundo’s a rotation piece at city, his absence doesn’t hurt the team (17/18,18/19,21/22). Pogba is a far superior passer, long shooter, header, dribbler and leader than those two. Didn’t need all timer coaches to assist him and he has international success.

Saying Thiago was more underwhelming than Pogba is just outrageous

I pretty much agree with all of Harry's calls, except last one, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Zidane for me, maybe nostalgia, watching those Nike adverts with Ronaldinho, in games, he just got you off your seat and made you think "how?". Hazard I feel gets underrated, he was so special, and yeh obviously in terms of the greatest winger to play in the Prem, its Ronaldo, but I'm not sure who else would be in front of Hazard.

As good as Zidane is, his moments are literally what carry his career. He wasn’t as consistent as people make out. Compare him to Iniesta and Xavi, they were more consistent over the league seasons, and also have better longevity. Still an elite player but people judge him on how much ability he had.

Going for all 3 at their prime and then selling Modric, the only one with a Balon D'or and also being integral in a 3 peat of Champions Leagues is just contradictive

that Xavi, Iniesta, and Mordric debate is so hard, but I think Xavi get's disrespected so much because he was the less attacking and flashy one out of him and Iniesta, but there's never been a better controller of a game than Xavi man. Iniesta could play the way he played cause Xavi and Busquets just made every other player on the opposing teams obsolete with their passing and how they controlled the game. And why do we act like Xavi for some reason couldn't dribble as good? It's literally what allowed him to be so assertive and dominant in possession because he could dribble his way out of any press when the pass wasn't available, same for busquets. And I agree with Lyle here, we've seen countless games where Madrid with Modric in the midfield get absolutely dominated but somehow still win games. Games against Bayern, PSG, City... that Barca team with Xavi, Iniesta, and Busquets were never dominated. Didn't matter who they came up against home or away.

Thiago is clear off all of them and it isnt even a debate

There's no way I'm putting Xavi over Iniesta or Modric. They just had way more to their game than he did. Every time someone talks about Xavi, the only thing I hear is ''he controlled games''. Ok, and? Lots of great midfielders did that. What about passing, vision, dribbling, shooting, weak foot, pace, etc? The other two clear Xavi in those aspects for me. Xavi definitely goes below Pirlo and maybe even Scholes for me. Also, reduced Pirlo to tears? That Spain midfield had Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets, plus guys like Fabregas, David Silva etc as backup. Pirlo had.....Marchisio and De Rossi lol. Let's not pretend there was any competition between those midfields. When has Xavi had an international performance the way Pirlo did in the 2006 World Cup?
