Yeah…can I join the 54 club, im 53 now but give it a couple of months and I’ll fit right in. Also learning French for fun and thought the lesson was great.
I'm watching this after my French private teacher of 3 years, just humiliated me to the ground. She has NEVER taught me listening, never allowed me to speak. She said that I'm not at the level to speak/listen. I cried for an hour, then took matters in my own hand. I will succeed despite her spite.
It's a great history of an old man trying to improve his life. But he is not old. I am 62. I feel great with a lot of energy to do exercise. I do yoga, I play tennis, plus I am learning French
1. Il voulait se sentire en meilleure santé. 2. Il a dit qu'Alex n'était plus jeune et n'avait pas besoin de perdre du temps et de l'énergie pour ça. 3. Il était épuisé mais aussi très heureux. 4. Merci~
I absolutely LOVE this story because it encourages me to keep trying to learn French. I like this format of learning because it gets me wrapped up in beautiful stories while learning! So glad I found your channel. If I keep studying and practicing, one day, I will be able to type my comments in perfect French! But for now, I will say, MERCI BEAUCOUP!!😊🇺🇸
This is actually a good way of learning. But the dictionary at the end doesn't cover most unfamiliar words mentioned in the story like "viser" "se soint" etc the dictionary covers the basic words we already know the meaning to. But overall it's a nice format of learning , infact the best so far. Easy to understand.
Bravo!
Some of the English texts is incorrect. Particularly the part in the story when the friends start running together. It's should be "ils" instead of "il." Never the less, this is a great resource.
Excellent story, beautiful video, voice easy to listen to. A few suggestions from a person who began studying French a year ago, having had one year of high school French and one year in college - fifty years ago. The second time through we are told to repeat the sentence. We are not given enough time to do so. Also I would like to have the sentence read again after I have repeated it so I can tell if I said it correctly. I also would like more time to give me a chance to make sure I understood the sentence in French before have it repeated in English. I would prefer to have the vocabulary given at the beginning of the lesson, and then repeated the second time at the end of the lesson. The vocabulary words were often the ones most of us would know and need to be specific ones in the story that are not used as often. I am so glad I found this resource and plan to add it to my daily practice routine. Very thankful for all the material available. My pronunciation has improved so much.
1. Il voulait sentir en meilleur santé. 2. Son ami a dis q'Alex n'étais plus jeune. 3. Son ami étais fier et éxcité pour lui. Il l'a félicitable pour sa victoire personelle. 🇫🇷 Merçi pour cette leçon.
Il a decider commencer courir pour sentait bon lui sante, il amis dite il etait na pas plus jeune, il etaite epusie mais heureux, thank you for posting this and making this channel :))) happy to found this!!
Awesome story and presentation, merci beaucoup. I also like that the first read was without the translation. This way, one can try to understand the story on its own. Then it is nice to listen to the story with translation, and finally again without. And thank you very much for making chapters, it's easy to go exactly to the point one wants to listen to. Cheers
As someone learning French, I encounter difficulties, but your advice is motivating. I recently learned about Immersive Translate and intend to give it a try to improve my progress.
Learning French is a great challenge to so many of us, but I believe with determination and dedication, I can you can we can 😊 let's not give up. It only takes a little more time to get through it 🎉
Alex a decidé de faire la course parce qu'il il a voulait de sentir en meilleure santé. Une bonné idée...moi aussi. J'ai commencé quand j'avais soixante ans aussi!! Mais maintenant j'ai presque soixante dix ans et je fais des grasses matinées!!😂 Mais j'ai encore apprends la Francais ....lentement!😊
Lovely stuff. If not yet already planned for, please do some videos for levels B1-B2 and C1-C2, and put into separate playlists. Most YT content only caters to beginners and its very unfortunate that people past being beginner end up abandoned
Great idea, just as a heads up for B1-B2 I tend to watch season 1 of a show I’m interested in so that I get the general story arc. Do so avec sous titres, then watch the following seasons sans sous titres … you’ll be amazed how much you pick up - as for the bits you missed, well that’s your homework 😊🎉
What a wonderful resource to french aspirants. I was little hopeless and skeptic about my french journey till yesterday. Now i am seeing the light at the end of my tunnel. Please keep up ur best work by uploading more videos like this. Much grateful to ur work🎉
Just started my journey for learning French. This video was very useful. It really helped highlight word origins that are common to both English and French which gives a passive understanding of what is being said, even if I can't understand the exact dialogue yet.
Hi. I am relearning my level B French taught in Spanish here after my radio therapy loss to and inside my melon. I'm 74 and in Mexico without any Spanish or French skills when moving to Mexico in 2014 from Gringolandia. I look for any thing that will help me. This video is very helpful. RT sends, envia, envoie... Colonia Centro Histórico, Puebla, México.
je pense que c est correct mais au niveau de la réponse 1 il faut dire EN MEILLEURE SANTÉ perso je suis francophone mais j utilise ces vidéos pour apprendre l anglais HAVE A GOOD DAY BYEE
It's a lovely video, thank you very much. Personally, I find the English oral translations unnecessary and distracting. I would prefer to read them and listen to French only.
I really like the video. Thank you for sharing. But I will have a request if its possible. For beginners like me, A1-A2 level, we need more present tense context than past tense. Do you have stories or content in present tense? Thanks
A lovely story. I am 69 and have been running for 40 years, but i think a 5km race would be a better starting point for Alex😂 however.....lots of super useful vocab to help me talk about my 10km race this weekend. Thank you.
i thought i was learning french too late at 30 but seeing all these seasoned cats just starting inspires the FUGG out of me. time to work towards a polyglot
This is really wonderful and perfect for my French level. Just one question. Do you possibly just have the Transcript as one text? I would like to use it to improve on my passe compose and imparfait, SVP?
He wants yo del much better,he told him that his idea is not correct because it was too complicated!, he felt japonesa. Soy mexicano y trato de aprender francés e inglés merco beaxoup, thanks, gracias
1. Il a decidé a courir parce qu'il voulait se sentir en meilleur santé. 2. Son ami a dit lui qu'il n'avait besoin de prendre du temps et de l'energie pour ca. 3. Alex était heureux
