I love seeing a male lead who feels unsure of himself in life but loves with all of his heart in such a pure way. And suzys character is like yup that's my man! Flaws and all love is everything. Such a wonderful and real love represented in this drama. This is a in-love easy-going love that I've seen friends and family have.

I love dosan’s eyes when he look at his world * dalmi * it’s so warm soft sweet lovely can’t help but felt in love with dalmi too like I know how much he loved her just by looking at his eyes 😭 Nam joo Hyuk put so much effort for dosan’s character.. the details here and there you May not noticed it but you can feel it. Kudos for Nam joo Hyuk amazing acting skills 👏 he portray dosan perfectly ❤️

I fell in love with their story because I think nowadays it's very rare to see this kind of love. Love that is so pure, immature and naive at first but then they grew eventually, so honest, supportive, and comforting. Despite everything that happened, Dosan and Dalmi really fell in love with each other's real selves because they understand each other the best and always by each other's side. I hope this world will have a pair like DoDal too, where the biggest, the kindest, the purest souls and hearts become one and actually give us that possible future filled with hopes and dreams. Thank you, DoDal, thank you Joohyuk and Suzy, for giving us the most beautiful story of the modern day Tarzan & Jane❤️

Dodal couple are so cute and are truly meant for each other. Dosan was such a refreshing male lead 🥺. I was so tired of seeing these, rich, arrogant, CEO types male leads. Do-san was flawed but that's what was so relatable about him. He probably is the most realistic male lead I have ever seen on a drama. Now, Netflix we need Nam joohyuk and Bae Suzy in another movie/drama that does not include a love triangle so we can truly appreciate their chemistry.

Reason I thought that dalmi should end with dosan.....is because even though the 2nd lead had the letters for many years he didn't go searching for that girl who wrote the letters but the day Nam dosan read the letters he went searching for her immediately that day......

find a guy that love you with all his whole heart like dosan and they prioritise to make you smile and happy because your happiness is his happiness

if we got suzy and nam joohyuk in an action romance i wouldn’t be able to handle that

I dont understand why people are not team dosan? Dosan deserved dalmi more because: 1) he went to the networking party to save dalmi from embarrassment without any ulterior motive, just by being moved by her letters which proves that he genuinely liked her from the moment he met her. 2) Chose dalmi the ceo of samsan tech for hackathon that too against the offer by injae because he believed in her potential, even though she didn't go to college. 3) Played such a big role in Winning hackathon with his genius coding skills which led dalmi closer to her dreams. 4) Took side of Dalmi against his and his friends' interest while deciding the shareholders list. He was willing to give away majority of the shares of his baby( samsan tech, which he founded) to his love, dalmi. 5) Kept on motivating dalmi throughout the start up journey, never let her doubt herself. 6) Tried to tell dalmi the truth about letters but stopped because grandma asked him to. 7) Made noongil possible even though it was unprofitable because he genuinely wanted to help Dalmi's grandma because he knew she meant the world to her. 8) Took a stand for dalmi against injae's stepdad when he insulted her which led to the rooftop kiss. Remember? 9) He took dalmi and her grandma out to show her such beautiful scenery because dalmi wrote it as her wish in a reply to a feedback of noongil. How thoughtful. 10) when the truth came out, he wanted to tell her the truth from his own mouth but the timing didn't work out. But still he went to her and apologized with a sincere heart. Cried his heart out because he loved her immensely and didn't wanna loose her at all. 11) he didn't left dalmi to suffer alone after the reveal of truth, he even ran to put on coat to make dalmi happy even though for a few minutes. That move was so wholesome and heartbreaking to watch. 12) He was against alex when he did fraud with samsan tech. Dosan was willing to let go of his dream to go to silicon valley coz dalmi was not going with him. He bought the start up law case book too that proves my point. 13) when dalmi broke up with him and asked him to leave her and go chase his dreams. He was so damn heartbroken coz for him dalmi meant more than his career. That was so obvious to notice. 14) even after 3 years, when dalmi was in need he straightaway agreed to save dalmi from the ransonware attack, setting side the fact that dalmi broke his heart. 15) When dalmi asked him to join her self-driven car company. He agreed and help realise her dream. He advised her to bid, which ultimately got her company to become big. Clearly there are so so so many incidents that prove the fact that he was the better man for dalmi. But people simply ignore all these efforts coz that ain't their ship. Alas!

I love this show so much. Its one of the best kdramas i've watched so far. I like the main couple so much. The fact that nam dosan is being hated is something that I don't understand. Like why would people ignore the efforts that he put to make seo dalmi happy and successful. He never put himself over dalmi's interest. He appeared at the networking party without any ulterior motive in his mind just to help dalmi for one day. That too by just reading the letters she wrote. Imagine how touched he would have felt by reading those letters that he went at the party to help a random girl. When at the same time, his life is falling apart too. His business is about to get shut. He played along with the lie that he never created in the first place. Why? Only because his feelings for dalmi was genuine from the beginning. He chose dalmi as the ceo of samsan tech coz he believed in her capabilities from the time he met her. He was standing by her side throughout her journey. Nam dosan tried to comfort Dalmi at each and every step. He made noongil possible coz he cared for her grandma too. He was about to confess the truth about the letters but stopped becoz her grandma asked him to not to do that. Then again he tried to tell the truth but the timing didn't work out. His efforts cant be ignored guys. He stood up for her against all the bad guys, be it injae's stepdad, injae herself. He never left her hand from the day he met her. He was insecured about dalmi's love for him coz of his past. He even forget about his dream to go to san francisco becoz dalmi was not coming with him. He begged alex to keeo noongil too and noongil stayed. Whatever dalmi wished for, dosan gave his 100% to make that happen. Dosan was dalmi's music box, sand box and even the swing. And The show was about a start up and samsan tech was that startup. Nam dosan has to be the main guy of the show. Its pretty obvious that dalmi chose dosan coz he was her last love. He didn't write the letters but he justified every quality that dalmi wrote in those letters. Their relationship makes much more sense to me. He is not perfect but he loved her immensely. I personally watched this show having an open minded thinking till the end without picking up any ships. And over the episodes I realised that dosan is such a gem to keep. People are mad about Dodal endgame coz they picked sides from the first ep after seeing mr. Han's backstory. He is a great man. But as a lover, dosan shone for me much more than him.

I miss Dalmi-ya & Dosan-a so much! Their love story is inspiring & heartwarming. Dalmi will always choose Dosan in all lifetimes because she sees her father in him. Dalmi chose and supported Dosan just like how she chose and supported her father. Dalmi & Dosan share the same vision, goals, and values. Above all, they love each other! I think this is the kind of relationship that the writer wants us to aspire. Suzy and Joo-hyuk excellently portrayed their characters. Their chemistry is natural. I love all of the positive comments. I’ve watched Start Up 3 times now. It is officially my favorite show alongside “The Cosby’s”, “A Different World”, “Living Single”, and “Fresh Prince of Bel Air”. I learned so much about start ups, I love how in depth they went into the actual story and conflicts that were beyond love and drama. I enjoyed that there was not just romance but the 2nd lead male didn’t need romance (like male and female) he really was in need of parents (as an orphan dealing with abandonment and feeling like he couldn’t trust people) and that was beautiful to show how Ms Choi impacted his life and never asked anything monetary of him. she loved him like a son, and that’s what he needed. I loved the chemistry and Romance between Nam Do-San and Seo Dal-mi purely through how they supported each other, looked after each other’s goals and not until the end do we see the touch feely love which grew out of so many moments. I was team Nam Do-San from the beginning and now am a real life Nam Joo-hyuk fan, he’s absolutely gorgeous! There is so much depth to this move. Beautifully casted in every way and every character. The story came together from episode 1 and the Father to the end. Man, I wish there could be more. The soundtrack is on replay for me. I’m a Cameroonian American and I’m in love with “Start-up” and a new Nam Joo-Hyuk fan 😊. I learned some Korean while watching so that was cool too hahahaha
