The idea that canaries only need a single toy is quite old fashioned. As you say, they are intelligent and enjoy enrichment. Mine has a parrot bell (which he loves and easily rings), swings, paper shedding toys (flowers made from cupcake holders), lots of different branches including natural ones and also faux plants which provide a more sheltered area where he can feel more secure. This is where he choose to sleep and often rests. He enjoys variety in his cage set up too. There's still plenty of room in the centre of his cage for him to fly across it. I feel so sorry for canaries who spent 10 years in a barren cage with just two rods to flit between.
Nice video. I have bought a canary. I want to tame him. He is now for tree days in my house. He is not afraid when i come to the cage too feed him. He answered me when I talk to him. Do you have a tip for making him tame? Greetings from Belgium
