Lost count on how many times I started one of those "One Lunger" !! If gas wasn't available, we used propane.. Seen a few guys that let go of that crank on the flywheel and ran for their lives...HAHAHAHA Great video, brought back memories, use to pump wells with these engines on them, 39 wells...
If u want to start a old oilrig u must get allowance from oil workers to start it bcuz if the pipe from oilrig goes into abandoned oil refinery and at abandoned oil refinery the pipe are closed the high pressure methane gas can explode the pipe even if u opened it from abandoned oilrig the oil will go to nowhere and turn into waste (except the oilrigs u own by yourself)
At least the C-66 has a compression release handle instead of like theFairbanks engines where you get to do a reach around and hold the exhaust valve open by hand while you crank the piss out of it with the other ! Lol
In some cases electrical power is too far away to run the unit... but in this case the well has gas supply from a nearby gas well. Otherwise it would run on either propane or the gas from the well itself if available.
@@abreyu plus these engines turn so slow hardy wear issue if maintenance kept up .we have several hit miss on our farm /ranch 22 of them going since 1930s
