Except that the fuel pump is used to prime the engine for no more than 3 to 4 sec. It has to go off to avoid flooding the engine...except if it is a special procedure in a Tchessna 😅 I like the hand animation of the VR mode.
When i am flying IRL i usually push the mixture to rich, and hold the fuel pump on for three seconds and then cut the mixture at the SAME TIME as i turn off the Fuel Pump.
Gotta set the breaks, you did skipped some critical steps with the fuel pump, lean the mixture, and the engine wouldn’t have started because as i said, you skipped critical steps. Also it looked like you turned on autopilot at the end there.
@@laubox Yeah the game probably set it, didn’t mean to sound like a prick It just annoys me that virtual reality isn’t as virtually realistic as it could be
Let me tell you the correct way. Battery on(only battery, not alternator), Fuel tank selector to least fullest tank, lights on, fuel pump on, mixture full rich and full throttle for 2/3 secs. Throttle 1/4th of an inch open, mixture idle, fuel pump off. Magnetos to start, when the engine starts to run gradually push the mixture to full rich and adjust throttle in case you hear it flood or stutter. After that adjust for 1000rpm. Turn on alternator, avionics, etc. Good luck!
Hello VRFlightSimGuy. When i am flying i usually push the mixture to rich, and hold the fuel pump on for three seconds and then cut the mixture as i turn off the fuel pump
You only need to use fuel pump when priming the engine. So it would be. Fuel Sel, Cutoff In, Battery | Fuel Pump on - Mixture full rich until fuel flow is indicated - Mixture cutoff and Pump Off. | Beacon On, “Clear Prop” , Starter On, mixture advance from cutoff at the same time. Mixture lean for taxi and throttle at 1000 rpm. Avionics On, and Radios. Taxi and other lights if necessary. (Clear for Taxi)!
How do you get the controllers to look like these hands? I only get the default controllers that kinda "telepathically" grab the inputs and control them from a distance instead of having to reach for the switches and knobs, etc
How are you getting the quest two to run smoothly like that through your link? I can’t seem to reach that quality. Isn’t the graphics too much for quest?
Yeah this works in a sim, but not the best way to do it in the real world. master on, check your volts, then prime(if needed) by putting the fuel pump on, mixture in 5 secs, mixture lean, fuel pump off, then mags to start, wait for the engine to “kick”, mixture rich, avionics on.
I had the same question. Looks like some mod that gives you hands instead of controllers but you're using a controller. I hope we can one day use pure hand tracking.
