He doesn't have a bad back, his illness caused his back to fuse in certain areas (now managed by medication) so I'm aware that he has a hunch but he isn't in pain because his medicine has him in remission. As long as he's on it he can do just about anything. The medication is meant to bring the same quality of life as someone that is in good health. I love how our Drs can provide that for people :)

I am so happy Aaron is in remission. My son has a chronic pain disease. He does work in an office and can work from home some. I have degenerative disc at 74. My doctors have helped me so much. Watch don't get overheated😮.

Curious, does Aaron have a back condition? Scoliosis? Looks like he maybe suffers back pain?

He's not suffering thanks to humira shots he's been in remission for a few years now :) He does have minor scoliosis and he also has Ankylosing Spondylitis which is a form of rheumatoid arthritis. His Drs have done an amazing job at managing his disease and preventing anymore damage. His back has a slight hunch because the top of his back had fused before he found out his diagnosis. Now he has his quality of life, pain free and mobility back :)

Hey Kimi, you probably should wear gloves when pulling weeds. Not only in case you run into a biting snake, but spiders and poison ivy that you might not see if they are around. I love working in my yard, and I always wear gloves. 😃

Your yard is looking so good..its amazing the before and after pictures..I know ya'll are planning on tearing down your shed..but think about putting all the stuff piled up around your shed that is also going to be put in the dumpster with the shed..It takes away the beauty of your yard..only a suggestion..❤

If you put cardboard or that black weed fabric down around your bushes then mulch then put the rocks around it may help keep the weeds away better. The yard is looking fabulous!

Just FYI, my husband always said, never water your garden/flowers in the heat of the day, it burns them. He said earl morning and late evening. Everything looks good. I got worried about Aaron and his back lifting those pavers. Y'all be careful in this heat ! Love ya

Beautiful project..... you two are amazing😊 My 2 cents.....maybe you can buy two of the same red brick pavers you have at your front steps ( looks SO nice) and put them at the bottom of the back steps🤗 It looks so nice with your red brick borders. Keep up the lovely changes kids!!❤❤

You can cut your shrubs up to 1/3, you don’t want to do more than that in a season. Everything is looking so nice!

I notice your tree by the corn and wow it got bigger and fuller like your garden, that's when gardener's start cutting and shaping trees and bushes, you can cut it in the shape of a Christmas tree, or look at other trees around you to see what shape you like. Then you went over to the light green bush, and wow it grew and filled out too, you can shape that one too, there's so many shapes to choose, even a ball. I like what you did with the rose bush. Your brick is looking good.

I trim my rose bushes so they are symmetrical. I trim mine in about a five foot high hedge. It always looks so neat and tidy. It's kind of like giving it a hair cut.

In regards to shaping your rosebush, sometimes if you take a step back and look at it from a bit of a distance, you can see what needs to be done. I hope this helps.❤

We were able to identify it and it's not venomous so it's no big deal. Personally we have killed them before but if we can educate ourselves on which are safe and which aren't we'd much rather relocate than take the life of an innocent being. Snakes may be small but God put them on the earth for a purpose.

@@kimicope_I agree Kimi!! We found an 8ft black snake on our property this weekend and we took it to the woods and set it free! Some snakes are good to have around your property! I will say that when I see our owl friend multiple nights in a row there’s usually not animals or snakes around for a while. I live in the country so I’m used to it 😂

Don’t know the trick on pruning. I use electric shears on our loropetulum shrubs and it’s so easy to get carried away.

Hi Kimi, Aaron,well this is a treat for a Sunday afternoon.Love the area you are doing your patio in how much fun will that be for a extra hangout space, those pavers are pretty.My roses that are "bush habit"I prun to shape a "rounded " look .So it's what looks good to your eye'', I would have kept pruning 😂i can get carried away with it.Junes a good time to give a good prune so it doesn't get taxed with the heat and helps the bloom.Looks good! the white rocks make it pop!God bless you both stay hydrated you both and in the air for breaks.🕊️💚

You did a great trim job on the rose bush and the little green bush too.. I know that rose likes to be trimmed because I have one in my backyard. It will grow to be more healthy with good trims! Everything looking so nice at your home. You two work hard and it shows. I am wondering if you could get rid ( the dumps) of all that stuff in the broken down shed. Then take the shed apart and you will only have a pile of wood there instead of an eyesore of a shed. Everything looks so nice and cared for ....except the shed😅. Good job you two!!

I keep my rose bushes cut about 4foot tall because the roses seems to grow just around the edges so keeping it cut short I have more roses all over. 💞
