The actual hardest part is making and scripting the game for hours, hoping people will play it, and the game becomes very popular. But instead, you dont even get a single player to play your game. Eventually, the game is discontinued, and it's sitting, untouched.

Learning Roblox studio is a somewhat tough but very rewarding and fun journey depending on if you're interested in it. You will keep learning while developing even if you're a pro dev

So true. The only annoying part is making a good script that is consistent

Remember: Try your best to keep the motivation! Go touch grass sometimes, take breaks, listen to music. Do not develop for a lot of hours straight or else you'll just burn out. Save your patience, and your project will be done even if it takes months or even more, I believe in you! I am working on a project alone for almost 2 months and trying my best to keep the patience!

POV: You have 6 years of scripting experience and open studio after comping up with a killer game idea And lose motivation 5 minutes later

POV: your only hyped bc you accidentally found a music/sound you have been looking for, for a long time

out of nowhere i get these amazing ideas and 3 days of development i suddenly stop. i lose motivation quickly lol

Tip for keeping motivation, friends are a great motivator be near them more.

Once I woke up, I thought to my self “wouldn’t be cool if I had my own fps game” so I went on to my computer then opened Roblox studio, I started watching tutorials and I felt more confident while watching them, this all happened at-least 3 days ago and for a Roblox game to become successful takes time, but at-least I still play it with my friends and even though this took 3 days sometimes it was a bit hard or frustrating I pushed through that and that 3 day journey was a bunch of fun.

As a roblox dev I feel like i should understand this video but I don’t 😅

this comment isn't related to this video but I think a lot of roblox devs DON'T push themselves to learn and master new stuff before creating a project. This is the MAIN reason why I had a non stable motivation while coding my games. Scripters for example might start working on a big game without really knowing too many things. Their scripts become inconsistent, hard to read, hard to implement features and overall perfomance is bad, so they will ofc loose motivation working on a project that is so bad coded and hard to update.

For me. I open Roblox studio and THE SECOND I CLICK THE BASEPLATE MAP. I instantly lose motivation to make it

bro sometimes ill listen to a song or see cinimatic videos with roblox studio and i get inspired then 5 minutes later im like: "man im dead" and after that is just sits there for 3 months or something then i decide to scrap it and use that existing place for something else 💀

Giving game ideas bc i dont have a computer to make them 1: Yandere sim (solo game) it would be the same as yandere sim, but with Roblox skins 2: Same level (solo and public servers) the game would have so many levels, but all the levels would be the same, but each time it would be way harder to pass the levels 3: tik tok sim (a rp game, public server) it would have a city and a phone, in this phone you would have tik tok and you would create a account, when you create a account on tik tok you would record videos, and other players can see the videos you record And i dont have more ideas, Sorry

I made a game (2021) I gave up 2 years passed I remembered the game (2023) I started to work on it again I was alone My friend joined me I was with someone I was happy I was determined to finish it I AM working on the game. I'm a developer. (my game is not a big thing so im not always working on it, but when I am, it turns out to be something good or decent)

People complaining their game doesn’t get popular but that’s game dev just make things you enjoy until they turn out more and more like how you want them to until you can eventually create products that will get followings and be enjoyed by lots of people on your own

There are days where I spend the entire day from booting my computer to shutting it down just working on Forever War 2. I love my game and I intend to keep updating it until... I don't even know. Maybe when the Roblox servers shut down or the last Robloxian has played my game for the last time.
