Did you have to stay with that corporation for 5yrs before starting your own business? I ask bc I've been with a company for a year and I heard that you can't go out on your own until 5yrs.
@@tymartin2293 It depends on the state laws. I operate in Ohio they just require at least one person per branch to be licensed. I’ll be taking the LPCO for KY soon they only require 2 years.
Man the realtor one is real tho trust me as exterminator in the field right now thinking of starting his own business do network with realtors when a house is sold in at least my state I know fs you need to have what is known as a wood destroying insect report this is required i think in most states but either way a good realtor needs a good pest guy you don't wanna sell a home with bugs in it do ya specially if it affects the structural integrity of the building. Also I recommend doing commercial and industrial pest control if you can get into it I'm in a small town and my boss is the only guy out here I've been to mines, factories, shipping centers, warehouses, supermarkets, restaurants of all kinds and man that's where the money is. Honestly unless people have a real problem like termites, bed bugs, cockroach, or fleas you not gonna do a lot of residential work and when you do it'll mostly be general sprays not active infestation which people can really just do general pest control them selves. Businesses tho nah they ain't got the time they will almost certainly out source it now I've still met my fair share of shitty business people who don't want to pay for the services rendered but it's not nearly as bad as with residential customers and usually it's hell of a lot more money. In conclusions if you want to make bank in this Industry Id find a small town or a area with a few small towns where there are not a lot of exterminators then just go in and do a good job like take your field seriously if you really can't stand bugs or you really just don't care to help people with problems than this isn't for you if entomology and chemistry don't interest you at all well let me tell you the whole business is bugs and chemicals so.

idk, im thinkig about pest, weed, and fertilization, to add to lawn care. not sure if exterior pest control will go over, but im sure fire ant control in my area will be off the chain...

You can always get a local post office box. At either the local post office or many UPS stores have them. Then just use that as the mailing address. Some areas also have shared space where you can use them as a mailing address for a small monthly fee. - Tammy
