Very nice. I started ballet at age 50 and wish I had started earlier as I really love it. It's been 12 years since I started and right now I take 2 technique classes per week followed by 2 pointe classes per week. Never in a million years did I ever think I'd be able to dance en pointe but here we are. Never give up on your dreams.
Wow, I admire you sooo much! Congrats on you development... I also will start pointe class next week as a 62 year old. I did take ballet when I was younger and was in a pre-professional group for just 2 years and then had a knee injury as well as started college. I did not dance consistently for a long time however, when possible took classes off and on through out the years, but due to knee injury would stop. Two years ago I decided that I needed to start exercising again, so started taking ballet classes. I started with a beginners class and now I am strong enough (due to muscle memory)to take more advance classes and as previously mentioned, my ankles are strong enough to start pointe classes. My knee is the only issue after class as it swells and hurts a bit. I am trying to find a physical therapist who has worked with dancers but have not been able to find anyone yet! Elaine continue the good work as it will strengthen you as you get older! By the way would love to see you dancing do you have any videos?
I am starting today at 13 and I was really scared because I felt like it was too late to start but after seeing this it made me realize it’s never too late, thank you 🥰

I love it!!! I’m 20 I’d love to start ballet in the next year. But it makes me a little nervous. You’re a beautiful dancer and definitely seem to have more of a natural ability for it. This gives me hope 🤞 I gotta work up the courage
Very nice. I'm taking an adult beginnign ballet class as well. I took about 3 semesters of ballet when I was in college, but that was over 20 years ago at this point. I'm mostly doing it to compliment my gymnastics and figure skating skating (all started when I was in my 30s), and I'm really hoping that there will be big improvements as a result.
