There are things nobody tells you about MM that I learned the hard way. When I first started Medical Medium my mindset was totally wrong. In this video I talk about what I would do if I was starting Medical Medium today. Medical Medium has helped me heal a lot of things, but when I started I was in the wrong place emotionally. So here's what I would do to get into the best mindset for starting the Medical Medium protocols. I see people really coming at this protocol with the wrong mindset, so if you've just started Medical Medium and want to do it the right way then watch this!

I've just discovered Medical Medium for hypothyroid issues. I've been on the keto diet since 2017, so eating *any* carbs at all seems weird. Potatoes? I can now eat potatoes?! The celery juice first thing in the morning is kind of nice.

The 28 day EBV cleanse got me out of bed. The imbalance/vertigo & “drunkenness” were the first symptoms to go. I did it with some skepticism and desperation; the results were game changing. Thanks for your videos Rachel it’s really great to have this truly kind and grounded, and realistic approach out there. Much appreciated.

When I first went raw I felt all the blockages in my body dissolve and believed I'd discovered a hack to bypass years of therapy. But when I began to eat cooked foods again, all my old mental and emotional patterns came right back. I had to learn to Do the Work, and not just diet. I do a balance of both now. There have also been time when I was doing everything right but not sleeping enough, or not making time for my hobbies, so I suffered then, too. This video is so important, I hope it reaches a lot of people.
@rachelAO

Thanks so much KoalaMama! Exactly, it's all about balance isn't it? When we do our hobbies and get enough sleep we are heading towards a more balanced way of being and everything in healing is about balance.

I wish I would have seen this when I started doing MM. You get so enthusiastic and want to get well as soon as possible, that you literally get too obsessed with the food! And it is not just about the food :)
@rachelAO
@rachelAO 3 года назад
Thanks Urska! Yes, it's the only time our enthusiasm is sometimes not the best thing. Hope is important, but when we get into impatience and try to push too hard it can be counterproductive. And yes food is helpful, but emotional burdens can literally stop that having any impact.

So impressed with your video's! You are my favorite Medical Medium person to get information. You cover so many important topics. Because of your own journey through it all your video's seem to always have advice that I'm looking for. I appreciate you so much, you are so generous with helping others! So glad you brought up the time in the kitchen and food preparation, I've tried to figure out ways to shorten it but haven't been very successful. I'm now at the point I've just had to let the frustration of being in the kitchen for so long go and remind myself food is my health and my medicine so it's worth it. I really like Vimergy products that Anthony recommends, they are reasonable priced and great quality. Their spirulina , barley grass, B12, zinc, lemon balm and licorice root tinctures are the ones I started with and feel they have been very beneficial to my recovery and health. I've started the EFT and love it, thanks for the guided meditation! I'm a big believer in connecting to our God source and our own spiritual connection for everything. Rachel, I think you look amazing and radiate such health and beauty!
@rachelAO

Oh thank you Kimberly. That's great to hear that you find the videos useful. The attitude you have with the kitchen time is fantastic! I had to go from frustration and pressure to seeing the kitchen time as an opportunity to nurture my body, whilst reworking things to simplify so I minimised the prep time. I'm glad you're enjoying EFT and the meditation - it's a great tool. And yes connecting with our own spiritual connection is key. It keeps us grounded and trusting our intuition. Thanks so much for sharing

That's great you have that community Tonya. When this video was made there were a lot of people talking in groups about needing to be fully raw and I could see people struggling. Hi Rachel, Thanks so much for posting this video! I am one year into transitioning into MM. I say one year because the first year I was so convinced I had to do it perfect- I went fully raw and my body just hated it. I don’t think it was used to that way of eating. I’m Italian so I had to stray very far from the way I was used to eating! I ended up starving myself accidentally- because my body just didn’t want to eat raw. Especially in winter. I’m currently trying a mix of cooked and raw foods. I’m a dancer so I have to eat heaps to feel satisfied and not pass out when I’m working. I still feel a part of me is upset that I can’t do it perfectly and eat fully raw, but at the same time I know I need to feel strong and able to get through my day. I’ve also recently started seeing a therapist, and dietician. I’m looking forward to finding a way where I can eat and feel happy that I am doing my best, not beating myself up because I’m not doing something ‘perfectly’. I want to heal as fast as possible, but I’m learning that might mean I need to do what works for MY body and lifestyle. How did you figure out what worked best for you you? Trial and error? ☺️☺️
@rachelAO
@rachelAO 3 года назад
Hi Mel, absolutely you need to do something that works for you. What works for you is perfection, not what a particular protocol says. Medical Medium does not say that people need to be fully raw to heal, but that increasing levels of fruits, greens and vegetables are key. As I found, there isn't a one-size fits all approach to healing and people heal following all sorts of protocols. Perfectionism is a big issue in chronic illness and it's something I work with my clients on. Because trying to do everything perfectly is stressful, the minute we can drop the perfection all the pressure is off us. It's good you're getting some support and focusing on this aspect because that in time will help you a lot in your recovery. For me it really took learning to trust my intuition and having the emotional strategies to get to a place where I could be happy I was doing enough, learning to be patient and listening to my body and the way I eat emerged from that. All the best in your healing Mel

There is a lot of debate on being a predabetic weather eat meat and dont eat anything else, but we have decided to go with Medical medium and get rid off almost all radical fat to heal him. When reading the "cleanse to heal book " The reccomendations are the whole line of supplements when I read the High blodd pressure part. What is your experience with all that? Have you done all of them? I know you had a video when you said you spent $200 / month on the supplements alone. Also I heard from MM if you don't take all of them maybe just some of these supplements will help. My hubby would deffinetly not take all reccomended supplements because, lets face it - thats just too much. I know, you are right that you don't have to be perfect to heal, just keep doing it. I hope you put out some comments! Thank you,

Hi Edith, Amazing that your digestive issues are almost gone! That's so fantastic! I didn't take all the supplements for all my health issues. I took quite a few, but mostly ones that calmed my body - magnesium, lemon balm, ashwaghanda, B12, Zinc, Vit C and different teas. I always suggest people find someone who can help them with the supplements because you save a huge amount of time and money only taking the right things. I was on a budget and I made my own Lipo C for example. I still make it and I'm about to start making my own supplements buying the powders and a capsule making kit for some of the things I take regularly. I have read a lot of good things about a plantbased diet alone for pre-diabetes and high blood pressure, so you could try diet alone to start with and layer in when the time is right. I guess what I'm saying is there are many avenues you have and you could start with the basics and see how he responds. Wishing you both amazing health! ❤❤❤

Hi Erwann, You're welcome. I can't recommend an MM practitioner specifically but the best person will depend on what you're dealing with, your budget and whether you resonate with them - do you feel heard and supported. If you post in the MM Facebook groups would help you find the right person I suspect. Negative thought patterns were my biggest issue and held me back significantly. That's why I trained to do emotional work, rather than nutrition, because it has such a big influence on our healing success. I hope you enjoy the meditation. Love to know how it helps you.

There is a lot of critic against so called school medicine and big pharma AW constantly does it. But the interesting thing is that the principal of consuming certain foods and supplements is the same as it is practiced in school medicine. Consuming to get healthy, no wonder that AW is coming from us as it is the motherland of consumption orientated life style and of course he is popular in europe as we are more or less the same when it comes to consuming lifestyle. There are mybe some condition wich you can heal completely by food but you can't eat away your traumatic experiencey. There are some form (very few) of depression which can be healed by food for example vitamin d and magnesium deficiencies or brain inflammation (there are studies where very strong anti inflammatory antibiotics cooled down brain inflammation which). Bad food can worsen your state of mind but good food can only be a support to heal trauma. A very effectiv and important support but only a support at the end of the day. People think they healed their mental problems with food. But when you ask them about the procedure they then say that they do MM since month or even years. When you then aks if something else changed they say of course last year they changed job started a new hobby began a new relationship, life in a new flat, got a baby bought a dog and so on. These are all massive influences, all of them can have the power to change things dramatically so it is impossible to say what was the decisive, maybe it was a mixture. And never forget time can be the biggest healer.

I agree with what you say about trauma. Most of my clients have had trauma and working on that alone with them can make a big impact on shifting their healing in the right direction. It's not as sexy as a smoothie or juicing, but can take a lot less time when you find the source. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

What bath water filter did you buy? Im in the US
@rachelAO
@rachelAO 3 месяца назад
Hi Teri, I bought a Nikken - I have since swapped it out for a local UK product (similar to a Berkey shower filter) because I couldn't get replacement filters. Since we left the EU I have swapped all my water filtration to UK based products because it's just too expensive to get them from anywhere else. I know in the US you have ProOne and Berkey which people say are good.

Hey Rachel do you think its ok to eat non organic leafy greens too ? Where i live only organic spinach is available.
@rachelAO
@rachelAO 3 года назад
Hi Simon, I wouldn't recommend it - they're usually the things that get sprayed. Bean sprouts and microgreens which you grow yourself are good alternatives though and things like parsley grow easily in warm climates.

Hey Erinn, it's eating all raw and no cooked. It was something a lot of people were into after the first MM book came out with the 28 day cleanse in it which is a fully raw cleanse.

Hi Bee, I cut them out slowly and it was about 6 months before I totally stopped eating them. I eat some lentils now, not every day but planning to eat more beans in the future.

How do you find a decent practitioner?

I have a video about how to choose a good practitioner from an energy and relationship perspective - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sdjIocfeFV4.html. For MM if you haven't checked out the Facebook groups I definitely recommend them for getting feedback on practitioners.

I went from doing keto to doing MM protocols. I’ve gained so much weight back that I had lost with keto and I’m not sure what to do. Keto ruined my digestive system however, the MM protocols keep me hungry all the time. When I start my day with fruit, I wanna just keep eating all day long and am never satiated. Does anyone have any suggestions?
@rachelAO
@rachelAO 2 месяца назад
Hi! Not sure if you're eating greens with your fruit, but that helped me to balance my blood sugar and get my appetite to where it was supposed to be. I also found not sticking to fully raw helped too. So cooked potatoes and salad for lunch and cooked meal for dinner. There are MM practitioners who might be able to help. Weight gain and stress go hand in hand, so sometimes it's adrenal support that's needed Just some things that helped me. All the best with your recovery. x

Not sure if this will help but I did healthy keto for a few months. Lost all the weight I wanted and a lot of hair and then regained all the weight and because I'd been doing OMAD I buggered up my stomach acid and HPylori went nuts. I now think keto and other all or nothing protocols are just a form of disordered eating. I purchased The Glucose Goddess book and it's a game changer.

I suffer with severe Chronic Fatigue, I began slowly juicing last year and doing juice and blends either daily or every other day. I've found that this has helped with my digestion and IBS. I'm a celiac who was vegan for several years prior to getting sick with chronic fatigue. I'm about to begin eating raw throughout this spring and summer. I have never heard of medical medium program. I do weekly group coaching therapy sessions with Simon Pimenta from ME/CFS explored. I also did Pamela Roses 3 week fatigue rescue course.. Our healing journeys are very personal to us and it's a well known fact that what works for one person, doesn't help another. It's definitely not a one size fits all approach. It's important to do the emotional work as well as small approaches regarding some kind of physical movement. I agree with the planned active rest periods throughout the day. As well as the short EBR 5 minute periods throughout the day. I find yoga nidra meditations particularly helpful. It's important that when first setting out to find out baseline we only track this for the first 3-4 weeks by using our timers to help us track what helps and what doesn't. It's important to include a daily. "Nice to do's". Such as, meeting a friend for a quick coffee. Sitting in the garden amongst nature. Or going for a shot walk. As long as it brings us joy. Sometimes these programs can be more of a hindrance rather than a godsend. As long as your taking a good vitamin D3 supplement as well as some good magnesium and zinc that's all you need. Thank you for the great video. My one bit of advice. Listen to your bodies fine tunings.. trust your intuition.
