There's a small portable grill for cooking meat, it's under "portable heating" or something like that. I'd suggest working a bit on the quest chains before picking a base location, because there are certain locations that act as quest hubs, and you'll need to visit them often. This game is a lot more quest- and story-driven than a typical survival game, and on default settings it actually has pretty severe consequences for ignoring the main story quest chain for too long.

Here is how the Doors and Airlock works i think: The Airlock is used as the "outer Door" for Access only. All other Rooms *Inside* can be seperated via normal Doors

exactly.. airlock door is like a front door and the other doors are like a bedroom door for example

Z1 looks like a nice game. But you might want to research the survival tab a bit more as it had a portable heater 😂

yeah portable heater is essential. not only can you use it when the sun goes down to stave off the cold, but if you drag and drop meat onto it, you can cook.
