I knew you could separate tomatoes but I didn’t know it worked with peppers as well. Thanks for sharing that!

They are slightly fussier than tomatoes, but as long as you separate them while they’re small enough I works well!

Looks like some good plants are soon to come. I started seeds really late this year and planned not to start so many and now my germination rate is not so good. Oh well- we have a long season so I’ll just start more. I’m curious to see how you like all the different varieties you are growing.

That’s so frustrating when seeds don’t germinate well. I’m glad you have a long enough season to start more!

Just a couple of suggestions or observations; when pouring the seeds into your hand, or back into the package, don’t do it over your trays, in case some don’t make it back into the package. 2 if you are labeling a six pack or any size tray, don’t put the tags into the first cell. If you put it in the second cell, when using humidity domes, it won’t get in the way like it could on an edge cell. Thanks for letting me know what is good to plant in CT at this time.

Good tip! I’ve definitely been guilty of having unknown seedlings in the past!

I am growing Asparbroc this year as well...first time for us, too. I think we'll use it in stir fry's and maybe just as a steamed veggie sometimes. I have never grown any broccoli before. Interesting info about the Mega Marconi. I commented earlier that I'm trying the hybrid Giant Marconi this year. I noticed later that MIGardener has a Giant Marconi that I think may be open pollinated, so I made a mental note of that. I'll be interested to see how your Mega Marconi does!

I bet the aspabroc would be great in a stir fry! I can’t wait to harvest some this summer!

I tried mosquito bits on top of the soil and they got moldy. I hope you have better luck.

Oh no! So far mine have been working ok - I wonder if having them mixed into the soil works better?
