STARTING THE VAN BUILD Ford E350

Here is the fist step towards building this adventure mobile, i was meaning to document the while process step by step until i began to have so much fun with the build that i got ahead of myself.
So far in this video we have removed all the interior and started the rough framing for our walls. It seems the planning / staring at the empty van has taken more time than anything else... buts its incredibly satisfying.

I almost tossed my side panels, but they fit so well around the windows and frame, I’m currently covering them with marine grade fabric…though it will be trickier if I want to secure furniture to the walls.

I am SO glad I found this. I'm converting the exact same type of van, and how to frame it properly and not lose tons of space has been a major headache. This is my first build, period, so I guess that's normal, but with it getting colder I really need to get moving faster, so thanks for the video, love it!

The cramming was very primitive, used whatever size material I could to maintain some sort of even surface for the walls :) Once that was done/headache- the fun began:)

it is easiest to incorporate it into the van usage not tear it out . u'll have to have A/C system purged refilled .

Dude what type of screws did you use for the furring strips/ stud? I’m having such a hard time trying to get it with adhesive

Adhesive doesn't hold long term . use sheet metal screws not pan heads. predrill hole through wood into sheet metal . buy lots of drills for the screws .u'll save trips to harbor freight as i did
