You inspired me to skate 23 miles throughout NYC on Saturday this past weekend!! Sick experience. I also learned the technique of braking with the sole of your shoe from your videos. I wouldn’t have attempted a long distance cruise if I hadn’t learned that.

I'm going to be a bit sad when he finishes this series has become a great way to unwind after work and motivate me for the rest of the day.

If you change the wheels, you can still keep them and they will be "The wheels that skated 2,700 miles (or however long its been). I guarantee keeping them the whole trip wont be worth the safety that a new set of wheels will provide. You've pushed those little guys well past their limit.

I just noticed that every shot you take is moving, you literally never get off to take a photo or 'get a shot'. Truly dedicated to the journey and cool from a video style perspective, always moving always going. Even your talking bits are at a gas station or on the road just before you leave. Also your shot putting on the 'poncho' was the best shot you've taken so far. When that van goes past!

Garbage bag tip. Open up the armpits so that more air can flow to your body without letting water in, that way you will not be so sweaty while using it

Some merino socks/underwear and a lightweight Gore Tex top layer could've been a nice addition for comfort, but Chad doing it anyway with his more barebones setup.

One time in about 1996 or so skating down highway 26 on Mt. Hood in Oregon, powersliding and my flat spots got so big my wheels were almost square and when the hill flattened out my board would barely roll.

Chad, who inspired you to skateboard and better yet who do you admire the most in the scene? For me it was my father when I was 5 years old, he bought me my 1st veriflex skateboard with the front truck on backwords lol. I learned to skate on a board that turned left all the time. I was probably 7-8 years old when a neighbor noticed and set me straight. Skateboarding became so much easier for me after struggling for a cpl years just to keep the board straight.😂 As far as who I admire the most in the scene, well...Thats you Chad Caruso. You have become a serious inspiration for me and so many other folks. You have an infectious positive energy that transcends the screen on youtube. You are moving at some super high vibrations and I am happy to hum along with you, my dude. Life is formed and maintained by a series of vibrations and we can all come together and change and inspire others simply by tuning in.

Perhaps the noise in the wheels is from the crumbly parts hanging off. If you want to keep on the same set, use a razor blade and trim off the chunks and see if that helps.
