It seems to me, that this is a very similar move to what Jimmy Ballard prescribed many years ago. It is his belief that if you stay connected to your torso with your arms, and maintain a triangle between your arms, between waist high back and waist high through, your contact will be more solid. It’s very similar to what I’m currently working on in my swing.

Wow, you're doing great. Keep up the good work mate. Don't forget, if you can learn to chip and putt, you can easily get into the 70s with an up and down game that results in converting 40% of the time. I call it 2 chops and a plop game management. You can miss every green in regulation. As long as you're 4o yards from the green, and you get it up and down 40% of the time, that's 7 to 8 pars a round. If the rest end up as a chip and 2 putts, that's a bogey for the remainder, bringing you at around 83 (on a par 72) From there, high 70s are within reach once you hit just 4 greens in regulation. It's really about course management and playing within your limitations. The score card does not reflect style points, greens in regulation, or bombs off the tee. It only records a simple number of strokes, and it does NOT care one iota about how you did it. So practice that short game 80% of the time. Use the range sparingly for chasing a perfect golf swing is a recipe for driving yourself crazy in the pursuit. Short game short game short game!!! No one does this however because all those golfers at the driving range mistaking believe it's the equivalent of the squat rack in the gym and they must load on every plate to impress upon the world how strong they are, when in fact no-one gives a hoot. What they do care about is when their opponents drive them crazy with a killer short game and they 3 whack 7 greens a round, having then to reach for their wallets to hand over their hard lost cash to the short game master, who's more of a psychological warfare agent than a perfect golf swing aficionado chasing rainbows and unicorns.

I watched this last night and rewatched it a couple times. Went out to the range today. Hit some really solid shots with the irons and hit 6 drives, not one slice (what I struggle with the most). Thanks man and keep up the good work.
@quantumpotential7639
@quantumpotential7639 10 месяцев назад
I've learned to play the slice, just like I learned to play the shank. My shanks are up to about 45 per round, I'm even learning how to shank my bunker shots where the ball careens off the hotel, along the ground like a honey badger seeking its prey, up the grassy bank and over the fringe nestling right next to the cup for an easy tap in. I play the shank so beautifully in my game that opponents fear being paired with me because they know just how contagious the shank is, and they're not prepared to deal with it emotionally, psychologically, and physically. The Shank! Golf's secret weapon.

I have been watching your videos since this past spring and have applied a number of your teachings. I’ve been a mid to upper 80’s guy for 20+ years. Over the last month, using your teaching, I’ve been breaking 80 at my home course 3 out of 4 times. I play 2 to 4 times a week with very little practice. Your concepts are simple and easy to follow. I just have to be careful with how many I bring to any one round at a time, which is hard to do because of the exciting possibilities each time I play! Eliminating 6 to 10 shots a round is a big deal for me over the course of a few months and I have a new found excitement for the game! Thank you for sharing and making this guy more excited about playing and knowing I can improve my game as I get older.

This is MAGIC! 😳 I’ve done this for three rounds now and I’m hitting fairways with my driver and throwing darts at the flag with my irons.
