I went to PSU. I love how safe State College is! I could walk anywhere at night and never felt unsafe. There are no bad neighborhoods or high crime areas. Downtown is very walkable with excellent public transit. Really struggling to find similar places.
State College can be really nasty. I was sitting on my bike at a red light when the guy in the pickup truck behind me got out and proceeded to yell at me for being on the road while he was driving drunk. Another time a pedestrian came over and patted me on the head, now that's scary! But, yea, when they aren't drunk they are decent people.
My son is thinking about going there next year, he's a senior in high school right now. Just took a tour of their last week and really liked it. Not going to lie it's not my favorite smallish town in PA but it is nice.
I'm in the Southeast corner of the state, bucks county, but compared to the mountains which I like I prefer Lancaster county scenery a little more a little more open
My daughter went to Penn State. 4.5 years there cost us over $200K The kids that go there have parents with money, and they come from all over the country. And don’t feel bad - have have done that “one way” the wrong way at least twice. Same street.
I graduated from Penn State in 1988. My total tuition cost for my bachelor's degree was $15,000, not including room and board. I am completely shocked at the tuition cost now. Even with scholarships, it's still very high for a state university.
hey, sorry sir but you are wrong, I go to Penn State and my parents dont have money, I havt taken education loan and I pay for my room and my food, so not everyone who comes here have rich parents.
Looks better than when I was a student, so proud they are pouring money into it....more upgraded, but the campus was always lovely. PSU is a great school! The college town is all that's there, but there's LOTS to do as a student. #WEARE
And to your defense you’re right, there’s only one way signs on the street intersections, not the parking garage. P.s. a lot of people will fight, just not normally in the day
Your commentary is pretty honest --- yes, I went to Penn State and it's a school that prides itself on working hard and being prepared for a good career! And we like our campus clean and modern. I been to South Florida many times and it's getting worse and WORSE down there. People there are just angry and rude ALL the time. It's really a garbage dump of a state.
I'm a Penn State Student, and you were dead wrong, most kids here are fucking babies. Florida is way superior. You just don't like it because you're a Democrat.
You think "Parking Wars" in Philly were bad...wait till you get to "Happy Valley> State College !^...the towing company in town are vultures who prey on visitors and students. Its sickening.
