I wouldn't usually watch processions, but this was great! BBC live coverage inevitably focussed on the coffin, but here at a fixed point we could see (and hear!) the huge size and scope of the whole thing - well done, everyone!

Thank you so much for sharing. Apart from the odd aerial shot of The Mall the TV coverage did not convey the sheer size or immense complexity of the procession - let alone its majesty - which your video does. What an incredible moment in history to have seen up close.

This was an excellent video pulling together all the different elements - so many bands, the Mounties, the Gurkhas, all the service men and women, horses, the Royal Navy pulling the gun carriage, the cars with the family. An absolutely wonderful job was done by all who marched, looking immaculate and very professional. Thank you for showing this which showed much more that we saw during the main procession.

I can watch these bands for hours. What a great video and thanks for posting and the professionalism of all military members for this funeral procession. Those last two marches you caught by the Catterick band are what I look for here. They are really amazing musicians. One day I will make it across the Atlantic to London and hope to see some of the kings bands. Thanks Mr. Baton and condolences to all for loss of queen Elizabeth.

As a child I watched the previous State Funeral in 1965 as a 7 year old. On a very small black and white valve set. Only ever three non royals ever accorded a Full State Funeral. ( not a ceremonial funeral) Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington in 1852 Edward Carson, 1935 Winston Churchill, 1965

Indeed, the TV coverage offered something different, but this is so stunningly authentic. I come back to it from time to time too, because everything else in 2022 is trash compared with this (well except for the Late Queen and Paddington in the context of the Jubilee Concert, of course).

Great location, MrBaton74! Yours is the first footage I've seen from that angle, and it really shows the scope and power of it all. I'm sure the Queen knew they'd all pull it off without a hitch and, knowing all the hard work they would be faced with, she would have been very proud of everyone. I know I was. Awesome conclusion to an amazing 10 days. Thanks for your excellent video!

@sidpheasant7585
@sidpheasant7585 Год назад
But that's the point. The country falling apart is evil being sown in the world, while the above was the Holy Spirit's response - in which Her Late Majesty was obviously a very willing participant. He took her (and she "gave up the ghost" at last) to show the world that unity and dignity and love and forgiveness and order are all possible, even in these dreadful 2020s. The day after she was buried, Putin raised the stakes in his awful and pointless and merciless and utter-chaos war, while the government did indeed fall apart. But government is only government, and politics only politics. There are deeper and better and greater things than those, but we have to want to choose good and not evil. Sounds like a no-brainer, but Putin is able to do what he does because he leads a regime built on the love of money, non-forgiveness, judgmentalism, over-exploitation of the Earth, a complete lack of care for the individual, and so on. And many of us are guilty of these evils, even if we would never dream of being barbarous like his soldiers are, even as they are also hopeless canon-fodder victims. The hope now lies in Jesus and all the good and beautiful things that He represents. Her Late Majesty knew, of course, and told us about it more and more in Her Christmas Messages.

Great to see everyone in there. However I was particularly pleased to see the Gurkhas - first the band then the marching soldiers. Watching the TV coverage, you'd probably never realise they were there. I also liked actually *seeing the bands play*. They were making such a huge contribution to the thing but again were largely passed over in the coverage. Having said that, I loved the coverage (less so what I've seen of foreign coverage, which mostly seems to consist of 'experts' talking about what is going on rather than letting it show itself to the viewer/listener).

The Late Queen was old and died well, as we might say. The tears are at the beauty of the whole thing more than true sadness. Even as there is a recognition that most of what has happened since 2020 (in the whole world) is either scary or trash, or scary trash. The above was neither scary, nor trash. It was kind and forgiving and meaningful and unified and ordered and replete with love and truth ... as about the only thing that was. That is of God, and the Holy Spirit was with it - beautifil, connected things happen wherever He is. The rest of the rubbish is the evil that wants to overcome and enslave us, unless we reject it fully, firmly and finally.
