Take a glance at a classroom in a Government school modified into a language lab to create more interest in learning English with fun. Students are given space not just to learn English but to exhibit their talents and skills.
I have set up a reading corner with dictionary, encyclopedia, story books, magazines,...
Adjacent to it, I have created a self-learning corner where students can pick the learning materials and learn with their friends at class.
A small activity corner is created where students can do their projects, play indoor games, read books, etc.
The starlight area in our class is the Stage Show corner, where students step up to sing, to give a speech, to give their thoughts,....
I have created a puppet show corner, where students have fun in making a puppet show and eventually learn English.
Attractive charts with English lessons are displayed on all the sides of the classroom. This will ensure that students keep in touch with English vocabulary and lessons. This will definitely help to reinforce the teaching & learning process.
Still need to upgrade this classroom to transform it into a fully equipped language lab in future which will be a boon to our rural children.
