State of Emergency across North Carolina Prepping for Helene: Crews sent to Western NC 

Hurricane Helene on Thursday strengthened to a Category 2 storm. Impacts to the North Carolina mountains will be severe, and the Triangle is at risk for flooding, wind gusts and isolated tornadoes.
