France has declared a state of emergency in its overseas territory of New Caledonia. Violence over a planned constitutional reform is threatening its already struggling economy. Plus, Boeing may face the criminal prosecution it had avoided back in 2021, with the US Justice Department accusing the planemaker of violating the terms of the deferred prosecution deal.

The Caledonians voted to retain territorial status three times. Looks like the Russian or Chinese empires are looking to colonize another easy target.

They had 3 independence referendums. All 3 resulted in votes in favor of staying in France. It's ridiculous to still say that voting should be segregated by race

Macron asked China to build ports for New Caledonia. That empire and Australia were worried and angry. Whenever there are developments that go against the interests or hegemony of the Empire.

@@nicholasoneal1521 Especially considering that New Caledonia is a major competitor with Russia for the Nickel export market, a strategic mineral in the battery economy. Nothing to see here, folks, just look at what the Kremlin wants you to, when they want you to.
