Qld tonight played exactly like what they were - a team with nothing riding on the game. Have a look at DCE laughing as he shook hands with the NSW players after the bell. In the first two games, every NSW player that touched the ball was swarmed over. Tonight, Qld sat back and waited for them to reach the advantage line. This meant that NSW had all the space in the world., which they wouldn't have gotten in a million years if the series was on the line. This movie has been played out so many times. The morons in the media will now say that NSW would have won if they'd picked the right players, and NSW will yet again start hot favourites next year and get hammered when the games mean something.

Before tonight Cody had won 1 out of 4 Origin games, and that was at home also. There's a big difference between playing at Suncorp when the series is on the line, than playing at home in a match where the other side doesn't care. When cody has played away from Sydney he's never won once.

Had noting to do with tough players. NSW won because Qld only went through the motions. It happens every time there's a 2-0 lead in the final game. And Yeoh was great tonight, but to be fair, him, Tedesco, Fox, Murray To'o and Crighton all had their best game of the series. Because they were at home, playing against a team that had already done the job and had switched off.

Yep, no surprise cody did ok, it was his perfect conditions. Home crowd, lopsided penalty count to NSW, series already over, and NSW finally having their best forwards available. Games that mean something, like GFs or Prelims or live Origin games? Cody is not so good then. Cody committed six glaring blunders tonight that the fawning media will ignore. They didn't matter at all tonight, but if it had been in a real game, the mistakes would have been punished.

In his game, Cody missed the fact that Martin was wide open, put a kick through and turned over possession. Two sets later ay he passed too hard for Martin. On anther play he passed too hard for Best, and on yet another he passed too hard for Fox. On other play he ran on the 6th and turned it over with a selfish play. And then in another play he threw the ball a meter above everyone's head into touch. Walker turned over the ball with six errors, but the media love-fest went "Walker hasn't made a mistake all night." Lol, the Wests halves could have won this game against a Qld side that didn't care one way or the other. If Walker had made those same errors up at Suncorp NSW would have lost by 50.

how should it have been the team? for one thing, best is unseating burton, one of the incumbent centres who did nothing to deserve being dropped. he was pretty great last year. he also was selected only because latrell, wighton, graham and turbo were unavailable. how in the world is he getting a rep jersey next year if latrell and graham are ready to go? hynes should have been the 6 in game 1. now we'll probably not know how good he is at rep level for quite a while. why pick gutho if hes gonna do nothing?

you pick based on form. every panther selected was in form at club level when thye got picked, except maybe luai. and if every available nsw player was completely uninjured and ready to go, only 4 of them are sure things (cleary, yeo, martin and to'o). the rest either wouldnt be there, or are big question marks.
