Really nice. Didn't to expect to see this on my feed, but it's a welcome one. Also, I would love to hear your take and thoughts on Dead Space as a franchise, especially the 3rd one. Since Callisto is nearing in the end of the year. Also, my highlights of this presentation were Street Fighter 6 and FF16.
Since it takes me so long to make videos, I figured I'd fill the time with something a little easier to do. Dead Space 3... It's not a bad game (especially in co-op), but it's not Dead Space. It felt like someone took a different game and draped Dead Space's decaying husk on top. The story also undermines 1 and 2 IMO. Just not a great game for a lot of reasons, but I don't think it's the reason the franchise stopped. EA clearly wanted the game to head in a direction the devs didn't want. I have a lot of hope for Callisto Project. SF6 does look interesting. I really enjoy the art direction they're taking. My only concern from the trailer is the world hub. NBA2K was one of my favorite games until they moved that direction. The micro transactions went crazy once that shift was made. I don't think Capcom is that greedy, but it opens the door a little bit. Fighting games are a bit notorious for add-ons as it is. Thanks for watching!
I forgot to answer one of your questions. Dead Space is a franchise I think got dealt a dirty hand by EA. When the first one took off, EA requested multiplayer of some kind to capitalize on it despite the devs not wanting it, and while DS2 did a decent job with the separate co-op stuff, that tilt to action eventually lead to DS3. DS1, in particular, is great because of the oppressing atmosphere and desperation of the crew. Definitely one if my all-time favorites. The Wii game, Extraction, is a lot of fun. Light gun games are some of my favorites in general. The story in Extraction is neat because it follows someone besides Isaac.
@@lordjlo817 That's amazing. Wouldn't have taken you as a light gun game fan, but in retrospect, with your plethora of classic games on display on your recent videos, I should have guessed.
@@jdellabeat6245 I'm a big fan! I even got two CRTs with two PS2s connected for co-op light gun games like Time Crisis. That genre is pretty much dead, but I love going back to classics like Ghost Squad, House of the Dead, Ninja Assault, etc. I actually play them with my mom when she comes to visit. We get a kick out of it
