Wow, that is an unucky series of events! Looking forwards to your thoughts on the hind. For me personally it's a weird one. Compared to the Mi-8 and MiG 21 it doesn't feel very "Russian". As in to set the weapons up in the back seat it's something like four switches all on the same panel and a helpfully labelled rotary switch to select a weapon type. It all just sorta works and automatically sets things up for you.
Thank you sir! I've got just a few hours in the Hind now. It's definitely a lot less opaque than the MI8 and you feel a lot less disposable than when flying the Mig 21. Overall, I love it so far, good old Mikhail Mil was on his A game.

@@Laobi while I finished my training, current global events have unfortunately severely hampered the need for glorified bus drivers. Currently it‘s unknown when (or if at all) I will begin to be paid to stare out a window all day.

I read somewhere recently that quite a few of the senior captains retired out during the pandemic in the likes of Eva Air, JAL....and think of the poontang!

The airline that paid for my training still has my balls in a vice until the end of 2022. They currently won‘t hire me, but they won‘t let me go depth free either until then. They really made me their b*tch well and propper.
