I'm fairly certain the melody of On Wisconsin is used for 50 percent of all high school football band marches.

The song was originally a football fight song for UWM. Wisconsin, being Wisconsin, took a football song, changed some the lyrics, and made it our State Anthem.

State identity is often drowned out by overall American identity. Also it's super rare a state uses its anthem for more than the occasional official meeting or whatnot. Not a bad tune, not too memorable either. Should just adopt the entire Static-X album.
