What a speech! In English and French. Until this speech, I had very little up-to-date information about Albania. My image has changed! You can be a president of a small country without a populist attitude and still get attention in a good way. A lesson for Viktor Orban.

It was Albanian people that fought, died and sacrificed everything to protect Europe and Italy (Vatican) from ottoman/arab hoard that wanted nothing more but to destroy you all. Europe did what it does best. Not help and ignore the problem. As an Albanian, I beyond proud what my ancestors did, how much they sacrificed to protect the nation, the people and Europe from eastern threats. I am also proud that they never went to commit genocide on other nations, to invade other nations to enslave other people, loot and destroy even when they had the power and means to do it. They only defended what was theirs. More than half of European countries have genocide and blood on their hands and a really dark history against humanity.
Bravo! I don't know that much about Albania in general, let alone its stance in the war in Ukraine. Though after seeing this brilliant speech, my respect for the Albanian people and its prime minister has increased dramatically! The public opnion in Eastern Europe about this war varies greatly...
