Just a tip: Put clear paint protection film on those headlights as soon as you can, the headlights are covered with clear coat type thing and it quickly start to crack and flakes and becomes oxidized. I'm speaking from experience, it happens to my VW Passat.
Lovely, I love these cars. They never die. I have a 1.8T manual Passat 2003, 243,000 miles in and still running like new. I also straight piped mine as well, everything but the Cat. Love the suspension and wheels you have. Bet that thing hugs the road around turns with no struggle. Also, love the LED setup, it's beautiful.
I always loved 00 01 02 and 03 2.0l vw jedi so much that the craftsmanship and designe and also the way they are just made built to last like for ever i gotta get me an other jetta in light bright silver 01 2.0l.......
Jadon Hursh if you’d like to help clean it up, let me know. You can also sow the seat for me while you’re at it lol. Listen man, it’s a 16 year old car. A daily at that. Cut some slack
I have a pair of xxr 530 18.9 in gold also, it's 225f/ 235r and stretched. Man my car and yes looks identical Did u use 10-15 mm spacers in the front ?
T-zillaTheMartian NGK platinum spark plugs, k&N filter, straight piped. Everything else OEM. There really isn’t much to do to the 1.8t. It’s solid. For longevity, keep the engine as OEM as possible and keep up with the maintenance
What's up bro! I have a very similar Jetta (04) & I'm wondering how your front wheels are so far in & not rubbing? I have xxr 553s that I got off a trade and they're 18x9.75 and I have to run 15 mm spacers in the front so the wheel won't hit the coilover & this makes them they poke A LOT. How did you get around this? Anyway, it looks super clean bro, those are the wheels I want to run on my Jetta!!
To be honest I'm not running spacers at all. I have my fenders rolled and I'm running 18/215/35 tires stretched and my wheels are 18x9.75 too. Thing is, my suspension is really tight. Basically I can feel every spec of dust on the road not including the road itself. Thanks for the compliments as well, you may just have to check the fitment if you chose to do camber, yet I have no camber on mine, front and rear
Gabriel Domenech you're very welcome. Also, as a tip, don't delete the air box if you have a 1.8T motor. Just change the air filter to K&N and you'll see how beastly it'll make your car
So I just got one from my grams it's a 2005 , but in like perfect condition. Everything is mint, I would say if you take care of it it will last forever
Thank you guys both for the response. I ended up buying a NB Miata because the deal was just to good to pass up. Still considering the MK4 as a second car.
Common problems head lights turn yellow I recommend the glass lens . turn stock goes up ecm gets wet on a lot of the gls from not cleaning sunroof and drain hose clogs up. The list goes on and on but if you maintain your mk4 your mk4 will maintain your pocket for awhile
Dude that interior was dirty AF. Even if there are broken parts the least that can be done is remove all the grime from the handbrake, shifter, center armrest and seatbelts. I'd you still have the car I hope you kept on fixing it up. Good luck and keep it clean.
Kurt Steinmuller would you like to clean it for me? There’s no need to point out the obvious. It’s very clear the car is used. Plus I’ve seen worse from dealerships
@@note4notelessons Ha. Nah man that car needs a full day of detailing. Also reach out to the guys at Savani autonparts and they will hook you up with all those broken interior parts for cheap. With some effort you'll have a decent MK4. Wish I could show you a few pictures of mine.
