We in Spain... Have a hero... EL CID.... He defeats Islam armies before his death. The Christians puts the corpse of CID in a horse and the Islamic army.... Runs out
Edsel KILLED it! I didn’t want to believe the rumors at first, but damn, he proved me wrong. Wayne would be proud! Thanks Edsel for bringing him back to life again, if only for a little while! 🤘🏻
Seriously a trip seeing Wayne represented like this. I used to wait on him when he would come to my restaurant in Las Vegas. He would always be walking the strip, and seeing him coming to the restaurant from the patio of treasure island, was unmistakable. I always had good conversations with him and Tera. He was also the coolest uncle that kids could ask for (he always brought them with and watched the pirate show). Such a nice guy. He is missed. I am super pumped to see this show when they hit Vegas on the 27th.
I am utterly and entirely blown the fuck away. Static X has been one of my favorite bands since I was a teen. I never got to see them play live and could punch myself in the face when I learned Wayne passed and I would never be able to see them live. I was apprehensive when I heard about the Resurrection Project but this fucking slays! I already missed the Texas shows but I'm driving my ass back home to New Orleans in November to see them at House of Blues. All respect to these guys doing Wayne proud and introducing Static X to a new generation. All hail Static X!
I agree. It seems so strange and almost wrong that they would have a replacement for Wayne with his hairdo and everything on stage filling in for him. I would never have thought they would do that. Maybe do a few shows or even a tour as a tribute with some guest vocalists from other bands, kind of like the Mitch Lucker Memorial show at most. But this guy is definitely holding it down. I'm pretty impressed! I know that Wayne would have wanted his bros to continue on with the band that they love so much and if he had to pick a replacement, I'm pretty sure it would have been this guy. My opinion.
This is so damn badass and can't believe it their asses proved me wrong...RIP Wayne we miss you brother, glad to see your legacy is living on in one form or another
Wisconsin Death Trip gave me goddamn goosebumps! Enormous respect to Edsel Dope for being able to channel the energy and voice of Wayne. Thank you, sir! Hope these guys continue for a long time. A big fan since 1999.
Dude when I heard him sing LOVE DUMP, I was headbanging like a mother fucker. Hearing IAM right now and I can't keep my fucking leg still lmfao! I'VE GOT MOTHER FUCKING GOOSEBUMPS!
When I was kid 1999 or 2000. Columbus at the Newport. Chevelle, Dope, Static X and Powerman 5000. One of my favorite shows I've ever gone too. X killed it.
I've seen Sevendust 13 times live now. My very first time seeing them, Chevelle opened followed by Dope and Static-X. It's awesome to see Edsel filling in for Wayne.
Wow they seriously did awesome! If that's dope singing I would honestly like to see him as part of the lineup and write an album. Solid tribute to Wayne.
Saw the show last Saturday night in Jersey at the Starland Ballroom, great show! Yes its Edsel Dope doing a phenomenal job paying respect to Wayne Static. He was Waynes close friend, they cut their teeth together playing gigs together with their bands. NUMEROUS times during the show they praised Wayne, MUCH respect was shown. Thanks to them all for keeping the music alive!
Static X still has a future. I am pleased. Very pleased. With Wayne gone it must have been very hard to make the decision to keep going. Proud of all them for doing this. I hope to hear much more and new creations. Miss you Wayne.
So glad to see so many people are supporting this. I honestly don’t think the band would’ve done it if it didn’t feel right, and I’m so glad to see this is paying off ❤️🤘🤘🤘🤘 rip Wayne, but your legacy lives on 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Hot damn... Was just going to quickly skim thru the video and check out how they sounded while I popped out for a smoke... Next thing I know an hours gone and I've watched the whole frickin thing. I was on the fence about driving down to NH to check em out but I am damn sure going now! Zer0 does a hell of a job and the band is still super tight! I missed several chances to catch Static X back in the day and its been one of my biggest regrets... But this incarnation looks to be good enough to finally fill that void in my concert bucket list! Thanks for the upload!
I hope you had an amazing time dude. I live near NH myself and always liked Static-X, was absolutely shocked when I heard Wayne passed away. But damn, whomever Xer0 is, he's the best thing that could happen to Static-X. Holy shit, he sounds eerily like Wayne and I mean eerily! Pretty fucking amazing, I hope to catch them sometime as well, I would not mind this line-up continuing to tour for a long time, because this is just incredible.
THANK YOU for posting such a high quality video of this show!! Tony was not exaggerating, this is really really good. Xero/Edsel is giving everyone their moneys worth. Would not mind at all these 4 staying together after the tour, maybe with a slight name change or something. I cannot imagine anyone else capturing what Wayne did and pulling it off so convincingly
There will never be another static x.dont get me wrong this is pretty fucking cool, and its aweome to hear this again.but just like pantera died with dime, static died with wayne.
Wasn't sure what to expect when I played this - so glad I did. Edsel Dope was simply amazing-unbelievable tribute to Wayne Static. The entire band was on point. Thanks for uploading! Respect...
@@davypelletier no offence dude, but u r too narrow minded. They provided quality content that is no longer availible. I'm sure Dope vocalist wasted planty of time to make his voice sound close to original.
@@Pr0v0kat0r777 they all hated wayne. tony especially. they repeatedly bad mouthed him to anyone who would listen. he was touring on his own doing his own thing. because they refused to be involved with him. after he died they continued to bad mouth him. now that there's an opportunity to make some serious cash, they act like they miss the guy? sorry i don't buy it.
@@davypelletier you maybe right, i didnt know about that, can you link anything where they talk shit/act like you sad? i'm curious, maybe its me who is narrow minded :)
I watched Static X live in 2002 and I remember being shocked by their stage presence. I listened to Machine all the way up to the day of the show. We watched maybe 5 bands play before Static X who wasn’t even Headlining that festival. Static X hit the stage they go straight in with Bien Vendios/ Get to the Gone and Static X blew my mind. They sounded exactly like the album no errors no feedback just raw and evil as Fuck on a epic scale. It was like a bomb went off in the crowd. The most hellacious pits started and that place went Mental for an entire set. I knew then I’d follow this band. I miss Wayne but I’m glad they honor his memory by playing on. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Dude how can i like this 1000 times sucked i had to miss this cause i had to work that night I remember meeting them at sunset station me and my buddy had nothing to do so we went to go wait at sunset like at noon so they sent a lady to go get us and she said the band noticed us just sitting there waiting for the show to start so they let us in to hangout and drink a few beers and listen to their new cd which was about to come out at the time one of the best days/experiences ever 🤘🏼 rip wayne long live static x and their music
I was there brother!!!! They tore it up!!!!!! Also saw them at Sunken Gardens with Godsmack and Disturbed. I might be wrong about the lineup.........lol
I asked for the day of the concert off, my boss forgot I asked and still put me on. I called him and he ended up loosing my paper with the info, got my day switched and I’m going to see them in2 days
@Bart you know why he didn't right? Because when Wayne did his own solo shit he was tweaked out and he didn't follow through with concerts, having to cancel and refund a lot of people. It wasn't a good idea at the time to give it to him. It's a shame he died the way he did but you can't party like you're 20 forever.
They are doing a hell of a great job. I remember seeing Static-X at First Ave (yea, in freezing ass Minneapolis) as the opening band, then played another unknown band at the time, SOAD, all in support of the almighty Fear Factory on their Obsolete tour.
Saw them in Reading PA, it was the show that 12 year old me never got to see bc Static X was one of those band that (for my friends and I) we were allowed to listen to but we were NOT allowed to go to a show until we were 18. I dearly wish that Wayne could've been the one I saw on stage after all these years, but Xero absolutely did him justice. They absolutely blew it out of the water. Devildriver and Dope were great too, but Static X in *almost* their full glory - holy shit, what a night. RIP Wayne, the world misses you... and so does the hairspray industry
I never got to see them live before last night (Rock City, Notts, GB) and it was SUCH an awesome night. Thanks for uploading so I could relive it, even if it is a different audience
Seen this show in Detroit and man! One of my favorite concerts to date! Was in the pit the majority of the time! Took a nice elbow to the collarbone and a few gnarly scratches on my back/ribs! Had a hell of a time!! #RIPWayne
The singer did a great job they can never replace Wayne but this is a good in Memorial show love and miss Wayne and his wife this life just ain't the same with ALL my ideas gone this world just seems soon cold and empty thanks for taking the time to read this
I still feel the cold Of long past days I knew my worth Put in my place It's no surprise I realize Some time before December Sun shines through haze I put my thoughts Toward future days It's no surprise I close my eyes And close the door Feeling so old Years pass like days Fastly changing So many ways My eyes perceive Yes I believe In nothing more
Just saw these guys last night for the first time in Sydney, I fucking loved every minute of it, never got to see them when wayne was alive, I never got to see wayne solo either so I was sad in a way I never got to experience that but from what I've seen on videos of static x live performances over the years the dude at the front really nailed wayne down to a T. Concert was absolutely beautiful and I hope I can see them again some day
Got to see them twice while Wayne was alive. RIP my dude. Glad it was before the cell phone age. Sad that live shows have come to watching it on a tiny screen.
Thank you soo much!! This is a perfect recording sound and video like wow. It’s because of this post I realized everything happening with them now. I’ve been covered in goosebumps the whole video lol!!
Saw the jersey show and man it was such an incredible experience. Static-X is my favorite band, it was amazing to be able to see these songs and these guys again. No one can ever be Wayne, but this is as close as you could EVER hope to get. Would see them this way again. Can’t say enough good about what they’re doing.
Very impressed. When I first heard about this I was under the assumption the stand in was only going to be lip syncing. So glad to see I was lead astray and the front man is doing one hell of a great job actually vocalizing.
I love this. I know Wayne would have reconciled with his band had he lived on. They had this cool fuckin magic together. Very unique and I'm fuckin happy he lives on like this. Welcome back Static X . Great video and concert
Saw them in Dallas last month and it was a mind bending performance by the entire band especially if you are a true fan!!!🎤🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼They played Wisconsin death trip in its entirety it seemed lol I loved it!!!!!
here’s the thing most of you haters aren’t acknowledging: the singer isn’t the whole band. as awesome and visionary as wayne was - he didn’t write or perform all the drum parts, the bass parts, etc. it was a fucking group effort along with the mix and production crew, the a/v crew, and everyone else that made static-x who they were. this was a WDT reunion tour - and it was excellently produced and respectfully performed. the show i went to was nearly sold out. people miss ALL of these guys and what the BAND brought to the table. RIP wayne - but this was no cash-grab. the original band members WHO MADE THAT FUCKING MUSIC FROM SCRATCH GOT PAID TO PERFORM THEIR WORK. and if any of you hater fucks were actually there, you’d have seen that only the ORIGINAL BAND MEMBERS came out and bowed. edsel did not. OUT OF FUCKING RESPECT.
In 2001 I saw Static X at Sunset Station in San Antonio, Tx. The opening band that night was Dope. Both bands put on a hell of a show. It’s awesome to see Edsel fucking kill it while paying tribute to Wayne. Much respect.
@@SquidsRightInYaAnime it was also songs from other albums as well, unless Get to the Gone, Cold, Black and White and the others were added to WDT without us realizing it
When I heard Mushroomhead got put on the lineup, I need to try and get to a show before year's end! Got into Static-X during the days when they PLAYED music videos on MTV and was hooked watching Black And White.
Being 13 watching Return of the Joker all the way to the end of credits there is a music video of "Crash" by Mephisto Odyssey feat. Static x and thats the first time I got introduced into metal. Ever since then ive been hooked line and sinked.... Heard many Metal bands since then and alot of them i really like but one band that always brought me back that I absolutely love is Static X ❤❤ Im 31 now and i still listen to them.
A lot of other band fan's would have been yelling about this is money grab and it is sacrilege to replace Wanyne this way. Instead the fans are totally behind this and see this as honoring Wayne. Damn right we want the band to make money. We love them and want to support them. I love the perspective the fans have.
Really wish I could go see them tonight but you know how it is money wise. Thanks for putting this up. Zero is far from Wayne but I think he would be proud :) They sound awesome!
This is as good as when I saw Static X on the Machine and WDT tours.... They recaptured the energy they used to have when they were young.... Obviously Wayne is needed, but they did as good of a job as they could filling in for him.
I'm a big fan Of Dope. But I have been waiting for Dopes Lates release. But knowing he is doing something like this makes the wait worth it. This is a cool and very respectable thing. Doing this fronting a band with no Credit for all you do is very selfless.
