This was a great video!! The way you teach the area calculation parts for the moment diagram is so easy to understand, my teacher was using integration and I could barely understand it hahaha
when calculating the area of center triangle, the base is not the length divided by 2. You have to divide the left (60) by the kips/ft value to get the base. 60/4 is 15.
You explained the logic really well, using it I was able to mentally complete the BM diagram. I’ll look for other examples to complete BM in my head without writing. Using similar area method to get the points on y axis (integration) Can u also do few examples on deflection diagrams? Thank u
Hey bro, love the video! I do kind of a similar thing as you on RU-vid and I was wondering if you ever have had any trouble with Copyright issues from using textbook problems. Thanks!
Hello, I just wanted to mention that it is really unnecessary to show your yourself while you are explaining examples. It makes the screen smaller and I have to zoom in, but even though I cannot really see the numbers very well there would be much clearer if you could just focus on the content.!!!
Hello Chris, at the minute mark 3:20 I did not know that the moment was ccw for sure. However, I have to make an assumption and I will always chose the CCW as positive since its the 'most' used positive direction, and its also similar to the angle/degree direction. Now, if my answer at the end gives a negative that just means my initial assumption was wrong, which it is okay to have negative values :)
I do not posses the answers for all the chapter 7. However, I do have around 10 videos on this chapter in the following playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PLQ5rSSwLAoxJm_2U85uk6z0rcrwtE66pl I hope this helps :)
