Je pense que le métro de Montréal est BIEN meilleur que celui de New York ! C'est plus propre, plus efficace et les navetteurs sont beaucoup plus amicaux.
I also get out of the Metro sometimes, to see what is upstairs on the surface. It's not very spectacular a Lionel Groulx isn't it. The station design is more interesting and unique, with the two platforms of one line stacked over each other. This makes line-switching easier, cause if you get out of one train, to the opposite side of the platform, you get into the other line - not just the other direction. That's brilliant.
What I find surprising is that the green line stops at Angrignon. I feel this was rather poor planning. Going further west along Newman Blvd one can see very densely populated districts that would have benefited from being connected to the green subway line. A station at Lapierre and another at Newman would have made perfect sense.
