Station to Station - Totton to Southampton Central - SCN1

A Saturday morning ride along the entire length of SCN route 1 from Totton Station to Southampton Central Station. Taking a look at some of the changes that have happened over the past year since my very first video, the changes that are due to happen in the immediate future, as well as measuring the success of the route so far.
There were also some very positive surprises during the filming of this video!
(Apologies for the audio dropouts along Third Avenue, no idea what's caused them)

One year since I've been able to commute due to Covid, so to mark the occasion I watched this video, (and the SCN3 one), to remind me what I've been missing.

Thank you. I'm in the same boat, I abruptly started working from home about a week before everyone else as one of my wife's work colleagues had just returned from Italy at the time. SCN1 was my commute route all the way through to Town Quay. It's now highly unlikely I'll be going back to the office 5 days a week but there are some days where I do miss the ride. Nowadays I only ever go into the City Centre on the occasional weekend to do some shopping.

This is a good link into the New Forest - a huge area to explore!

Indeed! I've never really been confident enough to venture out that far but I intend to one day.

@@thecyclewaysofsouthampton There's a reasonable cycle way from Totton to Lyndhurst - it's a fair trek though. Keep up the good work.

I can't wait to visit the new forest using this route, unfortunately, Strom Alex is going to hit hard starting tomorrow

Nice video, you mentioned a link from Totton to Hythe, is there more info on that? At the moment getting from Hythe to Totton is like an extreme sport. Termination at Totton is a long way from the Forest!
