Statistical Mechanics - Classical Statistics : Liouville’s Theorem - Classical Version 

Liouville’s theorem gives information about the rate of change of phase density in phase space, in its classical version. The theorem has two parts namely, Principle of conservation of phase point density and the Principle of conservation of extension in phase space. Both of these parts have been explained. The physical significance of this theorem has been also discussed.
