I just booked 3 nights at the Quintessa Haneda thanks to your video! I will definitely eat lots of free udon there and also buy the cake from the nearby vending machine! THANK YOU for such an informative and helpful video.
That was a very nice hotel. You can tell that Japanese people are very trusting because there's so many nice things in the hotel that you don't see here in the USA: glass glasses, slippers, free standing lamps, hair dryers that aren't built into the wall, electric kettle, air purifier and even open book shelves w/ books. All of that stuff would be stolen, here. I liked see thing rice balls being made. They looked delicious. I've never seen that and didn't know kelp was a popular filling. That's very nutritious. Thanks for the vid.
It really is amazing to me how the Japanese culture seems to take pride in all of their jobs and establishments. This must be the reason why every place and everything is so clean and well taken care of. I wish it was like that in America more often. Fantastic video as always!
It's amazing, isn't it? The pride that Japanese people take in their work really shows in how clean and well-maintained everything is. I wish we saw more of that in the U.S. too. Thanks for the kind words about the video!
@@experience_japan I’ve never in my life seen a country so clean and with businesses that last for decades and stay so well put together and maintained! Businesses in America close and change a dozen times over the course of 20 years because of how are economy is and fast pace culture where everyone expects and wants a quick profit with the least amount of effort. Now there are many businesses that are Not that way but too many are imo.
It's also why the suicide rate is so high in Japan. Life wasn't meant to be about working it away and striving for perfection, as perfection is unobtainable. Japanese people have pressure put on them pretty much the moment they're born. To me, making everything seem as perfect as possible isn't worth more than mental and physical wellbeing. People have been brainwashed into thinking having a strong work ethic and ambition is a good thing, but it's not. It's just what those in charge and taking 99% of the money their workers bring in delude people into thinking and doing.
That's because it's a cultural thing and thinking of the welfare of others. They're taught that as children. I do understand that as an Asian-American (Filipina-American born & grew up here in the USA. My parents are from the Philippines).
14:10 I spent hours reading translated Fruits Basket manga in a Seattle library until I was hungry. And then went the next day and many days after. They had a HUGE manga collection. It was wonderful and free. There was another giant library in Seattle that had an incredible music collection...I listened to so much music, I was thrilled that they had classic Calypso discs.
It's sad that Seattle is a mess nowadays. I was homeless, but I was law abiding and very grateful for all of the wonderful resources available to me. I ate amazing food there, too, including very authentic Mexican and Thai cuisine. Edit : And multiple Russian bakeries, all the glorious peroshkies that I could shove into my face lol yeah, I'm a foodie and I love the arts.
Glad to see that Haribo is still called Goldbären abroad. Capri-Sonne instead choose to rename it to Capri-Sun even here in Germany. Thank you for your video. I might never be able to travel to Japan, but so i can see how it is c:
So MUCH reading material ❤️🤘 the owners and staff amazed me with the Quintessa's entrance and lobby, outstanding job. I will definitely be going there, gracias 🙏
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! If you love curry and rice, you'd definitely enjoy staying at this hotel. The cake was delicious too! Thanks for watching! 😁
ARGH!! It's so frustrating that the funky little Don Quixote store theme had to be muted in the video...! It was a very memorable part of the experience - I hope to be returning in 1.5 years.... cheers from Vancouver Island (Canada). Your videos are simply wonderful!
Wow this seems like a place id love to go to! the nice and clean architecture of the building with the irresistible comfortable rooms filled with mangas wouldnt it be so relaxing to just sit back relax reading a manga while sipping in a coca cola?
Following you for a long time now, your videos get better and better. Good job on showing us your culture and on cutting the videos. Greetings from Germany
This place looked very homey. I could stay there a couple of days and just read books and hang out! Have to bring my own books though, as I can't read Japanese. 😂 I'm surprised at how little you ate. Are you feeling well? Hahah But you found Coke, the Elixir of Life, so that was good. Thank you for another relaxing video. If I am ever in that town, I will get an egg yolk rice ball (or 3) and stay at that hotel. I'll tell them you sent me! Until next time, be well and happy!
It’s great to hear you enjoyed the video! That place was indeed cozy. I was feeling fine, just saving room for the Coke, the true Elixir of Life! 😂 If you ever visit, definitely try the egg yolk rice balls and enjoy your stay. And of course, tell them I sent you! Until next time, take care and stay happy!
Interesting to see a western-style hotel in Japan, compared to the capsule-style hotels this is much closer to what we have here. Not too surprisingly, the biggest difference is the food, typically they offer things like toast and cereal here, and it's generally only open for breakfast. I'd love to have an udon corner, though actually you can buy that type of frozen udon noodles here, I often use them in stir-fries. Oh, and of course, there's also the price. I'm always shocked how inexpensive things are in Japan. That cake looked great, but I'm sure it would be at least $10 here.
It's interesting to hear your perspective! The differences in food and pricing between Japan and here are definitely noticeable. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and I agree, having an udon corner would be fantastic!
Hello my friend, I really appreciate your channel and many of the places you’ve shown, I’ve been lucky enough to visit for myself. Hopefully one day you visit Ireland(my country) and I’ll buy you a Guinness 😅
Thank you so much! I'm glad you've enjoyed the channel and visited some of the places yourself. I'd love to visit Ireland someday, and I'll definitely take you up on that Guinness offer! 😅
I wish I had your stomach capacity! I always want to try EVERYTHING, but i get full way too easily. In Japan I'd want to be eating constantly as everything looks magnificent!
The hotel looked so cozy, and the food looked yum! I'm glad you got your coke! My soda of choice is really hard to find in Japan, I am told by my friend Titania who lives in Tokyo, that's Dr Pepper! I have never had curry before, It's the first thing I wanna try when I get to Tokyo when I move there for school! Do you have any suggestions for the first time with curry? Thank you for another wonderful and amazing video! Stay safe and wonderful in your travels dear friend!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m excited for you to try curry in Japan-it's such a delicious dish! For your first time, I recommend trying a mild chicken curry, maybe with some naan on the side. You should go to CoCo Ichibanya, the biggest curry restaurant chain in Japan. Here, you can order the spiciness and ingredients of your curry in detail. And good luck finding Dr Pepper in Tokyo! Stay safe and good luck with your move! 😊
I love your video! Can you include the purpose of your traveling and little bit of your story sometime in your future video? Just wondering why you’re traveling all over Japan by yourself.
Thank you for loving my videos! That’s a great suggestion. I’ll definitely consider sharing more about my journey and why I’m traveling alone in Japan in future videos.
Thank you for sharing this experience! Everything looked comfortable and well maintained but whenever you were in the room there was hum or whistling sound. Was that the refrigerator or was your phone picking up an otherwise inaudible sound?
Thanks for noticing! That sound was likely from the refrigerator or some other appliance in the room. Sometimes, microphones pick up sounds that are usually inaudible to us. I’ll keep an ear out for that in future videos!
I use to watch a Japanese streamer who always claims he couldn't go inside Donkis, because they'd kick him out... Seeing you just walk in there just solidified my doubt in that claim. 😂
I'm happy with every notification from tour channel😃 Thank you for maintaining a food level of recording and not changing the content🥰 The cake looked super delicious🍰💗
Hello from England. Love to watch your videos. I wondered why you didn't get rice balls and cake after you stay in all you can eat hotel? So you can eat more hotel food and enjoy rice balls and cake at home? 😊 You make great videos. Please keep them coming.
Hello from Japan! Thanks for watching! Sometimes I save the rice balls and cake for later so I can enjoy more hotel food. But you're right, it's also nice to have those treats at home! 😊
6:31 hang on, I have a question. I’m really curious! Do Japanese people watch TV with close captions/subtitles in every day life? I mean, I do living in America because despite being fluent in English, it’s still not my native language. But I dont when watching stuff in Russian ‘cause that’s my native language. I don’t necessarily read the subtitles, but i do have them on when/if they’re available just in case I mishear something. My husband doesn’t use them if he watches the movie is in English (he is a huge anime fan, he watches it in Japanese with English subs). But do Japanese people use subtitles when watching TV on regular basis?
Great question! Yes, it’s common in Japan to watch TV with subtitles, even for native speakers. It’s especially popular for news programs, variety shows, and dramas where subtitles can help with understanding fast or unclear speech.
@@experience_japan How interesting! I guess I won’t feel too bad for not grasping every word in Japanese when I hear characters talk in Like A Dragon games 😅 Thank you!!!
I can imagine the difference between Japanese and us Americans when it came to the water not boiling. Japanese is likely “I’m sorry to bother you but this isn’t boiling”. While American is “excuse me but how do I work this thing”.
Alright, my friend, I love your journeys. You got my attention when you said 24 hours all you can eat. Japn is sensational. I have to make a trip there
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the journeys! Japan is truly amazing, especially with all-you-can-eat options like that. You definitely need to plan a trip here!
It was the faucet running. Sometimes he films himself checking the faucet water pressure. For a small moment I thought the same, but I watched two in a row where he remarks on the bathroom faucet water pressure.
Well another wonderful video , done just right , from our favorite Japanese. I was told there was some earthquake going on over there, I worry for you and your country. Your country is beautiful, I just don't want anything to be destroyed. I love you can get cake for 5 dollars, I would keep it empty, that I promise. Always waiting on the next video my friend. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your kind words and concern! Earthquakes are a part of life here, but we do our best to stay safe. I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos and the little details like the $5 cake. Your support means the world to me. Take care, and I’m looking forward to bringing you more videos soon! ❤❤❤❤❤
Pepsi is a W. Coca Cola just, how should I put it, it makes you feel like having more, even tho it makes you bloated fast. Pepsi on the other hand, just 1 can is enough to make you full. So 🤷
What a great way to end the day at 2:25am in, the state of Michigan I'm the u.s.a. idea for a video night life in Tokyo Japan expirence would be cool to see
Common misconception. It’s not free. Its cost was calculated into the price of your stay. So you paid for it whether you eat it or not. No business ever gives anything away for free.
I would just give you an idea to remove the English subtitles and instead use the subtitles made by RU-vid and then everyone can set the language of the subtitles, but just a tip. 0:54
@@experience_japan thank you for your answer. And if I could ask you to put Hungarian subtitles in between them, because I'm Hungarian and I really like watching your videos😊
It's not the government or the person in charge who keeps the Japan clean and advanced country!!! The people's of Japan are united and move together for their country's development!!!!!!
Why go inside that store to film when you sped it up so fast we couldn't see anything ? Next time please pan around slowly because I have never seen that store before.
hello ejapan, the mini painting of your stay with all-you-can-eat and manga must be about the front desk thought you were more an all-you-can-eat visitor with a red vegetable. the red also means luck and heart for the chosen one to sleep below the painting. the mini. elle for zzz's
