@Marquis Murray Yeah...great content, except at 3:41 my "Today" does not look like YOUR today - I wan the Eisenhower headings to close up under "today" like yours do but they are showing up as separate "sections" - how did you get sections under "Today" - I believe someone else asked this question below
Looks like it’s time for me to create an update to this video. Actually, I’ll like an update below. Asana no longer allows for sections within sections. This is just an old version of My Tasks. Here’s a more recent version. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TlLl3F79yDA.html
I am glad you talked about the My tasks but No one talks about the later section. I would like to understand it so that I can figure out how to utilize it. I have no idea if I can even change it. Also, the advanced search only works if you have premium. For business owners, premium is very expensive for multiple team members.
Hey Candice, thanks for the comment. I just posted a new video. I didn't talk about "Later" specifically, but it should help you understand how to use it a bit better.
Hi Marquis, just wanted to let you know I binge watched your videos about Asana last week for a design exercise at a company I applied for and this week I received the good news I got the job as a Designer Manager and they are even super curious about Asana and considering ditching their current project management tool. You may not even be aware but your content is helping and will continue to help a lot of other people. Thanks a lot!
Bria. Wow. I’ve already taken my screenshot and shared this with a few people. Thank you so much for the encouragement and letting me know that you’ve enjoyed watching. That really means so much. And congrats on the new job, that’s incredible. Sounds like you’ve got lots to celebrate! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m curious, what are you responsible for in your new role?
@@MarquisMurray Sure! Gotta give credit where credit is due and your videos sure helped me a lot. As for my new position, I am basically responsible for a team of 5 product designers where I ensure best practices are being followed, design meets acceptance criteria and projects are being delivered within budget. I am also gonna be working directly with clients to gather requirements and make sure all runs smoothly for both ends throughout the project. So yes, less design for me and more management, but I am truly excited :)
Interesting. Would love to see what you create in Asana. We’re working with a client right now in creating something very similar. Let me know if you need a second opinion on anything.
I REALLY need to get organized with project management. I’ve tried using Asana and other tools, but I end up getting frustrated wasting time in the tools and would end up just brute forcing myself through projects. Not ideal for work life balance :/ Your videos are inspiring for me to get my act together!
Hey, thanks for the comment! I know those frustrations all too well. That’s why I created Ditto. Happy to know that you’re thinking more about this now. Let me know if you have any questions.
I'm a first time user of Asana and i would like to know how to add sub-section on "Today"'s section? Like the one on your video, I want apply Eisenhower's Urgent/Important Principle on "My Tasks - Today" section. @09:41
Thanks a lot Man. Love your videos. Could you please create a videos of budget control in Asana? Kind of how to control Estimated hours versus Actual so that we can have an ideas how far we are form the cost baseline?
Thank you for the great video. I did have one question though. I did not see where you provided the steps to add priorities such as urgent & important, not urgent but important within a section on My Tasks. can you demonstrate that or provide the steps? Thank you in advance. Again great video.
Hi there, sorry for the late reply! You've likely figured this out already but if you are on your "My Tasks" and press "Tab + N" it will create a new section. You can also select "Add Section" under the blue Add Task button in the top left. Hope that helps!
@@MarquisMurray Marquis I am starting using Asana for personal and professional projects as an Interior Design Consultant. While I am actually working with the freemium version(missing gantt and other features), I have found really good capabilities for project visualization and monitoring with the Kanban board. Your videos are helping me in creating templates and processes in starting and executing projects.Thank you so much!
