About the 911 response: I know that the game is no fun if they just wait for authorities but well, even if you don't know where exactly you are, you should start by mentioning where were you taken/your home location/last place you went. We can start at reporting missing person of that address. Heck, even what state you are would be useful since it's supposedly internet, the other guy could be in other country for all he knows.
wait a sec, those moods reminded me of something so i looked it up and i dunno if it's tied it but it's kinda weird if not, but those are the names of the four humours in greek medicine, balance of them was supposed to be essential for good health. The Four Humors tend to have *_negative_* effects on the mind and emotions only when they're *_excessive or aggravated._* Otherwise, they can also strengthen positive aspects of character. I'm guessing that some actions will be affected by what kind of flux the humours are in *Sanguine* ; Blood; Air Promotes a feeling of joy, mirth, optimism, enthusiasm, affection and wellbeing. *Phlegmatic* ; Phlegm; Water Induces passivity, lethargy, subjectivity, devotion, emotionalism, sensitivity and sentimentality. *Melancholic* ; Black Bile; Earth Makes one pensive, melancholy and withdrawn. It encourages prudence, caution, realism, pragmatism and pessimism. *Choleric* ; Yellow Bile; Fire Provokes, excites and emboldens the passions. Being inflammatory, irritating and caustic, it provokes anger, irritability, boldness, ambition, envy, jealousy and courage. When the humors are balanced it's called *_Eucrasia_* , or "good mixture". When the humors are unbalanced it's called *_Dyscrasia_* , or "bad mixture". Anyway I just thought this was interesting
No wonder I found those names familiar. I've been wondering where I've encountered it and I must've come across the Greek Humours some time ago. Thanks for the refresher !
I think Quinn had it right pretty much right away. If you were knocked out, stuffed into a room, and had a direct internet connection to *some* person, wouldn't that be the most suspicious person? There's definitely more to the whole thing than helping out a stranger, unless that's just my plot-fu being weak. On a side note, putting an ominous countdown timer on my pet cat sounds like a great idea to spook people.
sertian ser but even if they did call 911 and not know the location it might be regarded as some prank call or arouse suspicion on the player since hes aware of the situation.
48:25 I will have you know that a childhood filled with Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, two-hand touch and Foursquare, is a very exciting childhood indeed. Dear me, forgot to mention goosebumps. The "choose your own adventure" ones were my favorites.
An intriguing start. With seven endings and the game's timer supposedly continuing to tick even with the game close, this game promises some replay value if nothing else. Quinn hiding the pills along with the letter we see him write shortly before being abducted make me think he was going to kill himself, and whoever kidnapped him knew about this. Whether this is some twisted test to make Quinn want to live or an attempt to break his will remains to be seen.
That's a thought that crossed my mind. A genius but twisted plan to make Quinn realize if he really wants to die...or if he still wants to go on with his life. And who's to say that the Player isn't the one putting him to this test? Just putting a theory out there.
I love how this guy got kidnapped and put in a extremely stressful and dire situation yet still has time to correct text errors. I barely do that and my life isn't in serious danger like him
_Tell me your secrets, stranger - I crave LORE_ Asking a total stranger you just meet to divulge secrets isn't the best way to build trust (15:31) MBH. That was also an error in the game, as Quinn refers back to "good advice" to peel the wallpaper in later dialogue - the advice you _didn't_ give. And I doubt he could have broken down that door, because that would be a really quick game. That would've been my choice tho - forget peeking, just bust down the door! The questions at the end of the chapter reveal your personality, caring/uncaring, bold/cautious. And while you said that there could be a key in the toilet, you didn't choose to tell him that. It's a great premise for a game to be that person helping him escape the room, escape the anger & sadness in his mind, maybe to help him avoid death. Except for the cat Oscar, who is famous for knowing that death is imminent & stands vigil, waiting for it.
+Thelothuo Oscar is a famous irl cat who predicts which person under hospice care in a northeast nursing home will die that day. He is not the Grim Reaper, but merely an observer of a person's passing, staying at their bedside so they are not alone I think. The cat in the game is probably also there as an observer, hopefully to life, not death. www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMp078108
+NaturalFlirtGamer What a strange name for a cat, and what a strange hobby for the living! I don't doubt Oscar was always able to detect it, but I wonder if staying near soon-to-pass persons was learned... With regards to the game, hopefully the cat was just there for the mouse before getting stuck itself.
I'm getting earlier and earlier. Senpai, Thank you for your videos. They really help me whenever I feel down. I enjoy your commentary and the games you decide to play for us.
Oscar is a very sweet cat, really. Sure it's kinda freaky that he seems to know when folks are dying but it's nice that he wants to comfort them in the last moments. Especially for the people who are there alone.
Okay, but I'm low-key curious as to why you, as the stranger, are randomly on this game-show website where you can watch kidnapped people try to escape.
Lots of people try out the dark web for the first time and go to rooms, they don't realize how stupid it is because a lot of those rooms can lead to the viewers death, you in particular might as well have just got on found this and felt the need to help save him instead of sit back and watch him die like everyone else
i have a feeling the good end (or very bad end? one of them) is related to acting like his therapist. spent a bit talking about how he feels like his patients now... but he also rambles lots, so maybe that’s not much.
With the cat - the final appearance is in reference to how in some retirement homes and hospitals that have cats around, the cats tend to go into the rooms of patients that are going to die soon. Even if those patients seem perfectly healthy, the cat will hop up and curl up with you, as if giving you some last, pleasant companionship before you move on to the next phase of existence.
Ah this game remind me of that app game about helping someone survive strange planet but you HAVE A real time timer and keeping bond strong, emotion stable mechanisms. Really make you feel surrealism in this Very interesting and unique gameplay to help stranger survive with only sending encourage message and hope you keep them alive.
Yeah, I was definitely thinking of Taylor and Lifeline while I was watching this! I'm actually really excited that more games of this particular niche are being made.
Manly, if you haven't heard of it, you should check out videos on a game called catastrophe crow 64. It's got a creepy story behind it's production but it's interesting as hell. I would say you should play it but it's not easy to find a copy due to it's uhhh "backstory".
I refuse to believe this man is a therapist because he literally talks about his patients as if his patients are wannabe serial killers or fucked up weirdos instead of ACTUALLY HIS PATIENTS. This guy is so contradictory: "I shouldn't talk about my patient's problems but they're all freaks anyway!"
If I was in this situation, I would contact the police and let them discern legitimacy of these things and then, hopefully, they can discover the source of the signal.
Ohhhh! I felt a bit familiar with this game, and I couldn't tell why at first, but now I know--it's kind of similar in concept with Lifeline/Operator's Side. Rio best waifu ftw11!1
6:00 typical of author/developer making dumb character as in-game character. (should have blame the dev for their lack of knowledge) you don't need to know your location to ask help from 911, they will be the one searching for clue using the chat server to track your location.
