JFK had a poorly run campaign which did not propel him into the spotlight enough for him to warrant more news coverage. If he had newsworthy context the news would have put him in the spotlight more often. His campaign advisors are to blame not the media.

Regarding the young woman who died in the hospital, if the hospital didn’t have the family’s contact info then they’d have had no way to notify them. At the hospital I worked at, we could only see discharges/deaths in the system for the last 72hrs or so…so if the mother didn’t call for a week then the employee likely couldn’t have found her name in the system as deceased. We also don’t know if the young woman had an extra block on her chart requesting not to be identified to callers. Not saying the hospital did everything right, but based on the limited info in this report, I can totally see how this could happen.
