#StayHome 7: The time at home may be involuntary at the moment, but we can still use it to spend time with something meaningful. For me, painting is always a way to get away. Stay at home and I will show you how to paint a work of art. Here you can create a magical work of art with gold foil, this time not from the chocolate Easter bunny, but from my favorite chocolate. I have also added a new tool for you: an empty pencil. You can use it to write on your work of art. Faith, I thought, was fitting to the last picture in pink, this time "Thank you" which I think is very fitting for this green picture. So I'm asking you to stay home. Get some fresh air if you can. Take a walk and look at the colours of nature. Because of COVID-19 and its high risk of infection, the quarantine period is difficult but useful to protect you and your fellow human beings. Do not be bored, paint with me. Maybe you are still looking for an inspiration, then you are in the right place. This painting is for me again a little greeting to you!
Here again a few introductory words to your work of art. Take your chocolate paper and unwrap it. Maybe you still have some Easter bunnies or Easter eggs left (see the other videos). Put the chocolate away again. Take the aluminium foil, which can be of a different colour than the gold, and stick it on the canvas. Again I worked with only a few colours. Dark green - bluish, olive, plus about white and later turquoise. The paint is diluted with water on the surface. Thereby it flows nicely over the canvas. There is something watercolour-like about it, it is partly transparent and easy to work with. See the other videos, there are many films with chocolate paper. At Amazon you can find products, like acrylic binders, with which you can dilute your colors (see link Shop).
I have tried a new glue for you in the video. That went into the "pants". The glue did not stick. The foil came off again. There are some open spots, which I will stick on again afterwards. For this I take my old glue and put it with the painting knife slightly under the foil, spots. Press them on and stick them with it again.
