In today's episode, we start off in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, head to Montego Bay for our first-ever all-inclusive resort experience, before catching a flight up to New York. Was all-inclusive our cup of tea?😌☕️
Clarification: All-inclusive resorts might not be for us, but we understand that they can be a great option for other travelers. This is just our take, but of course our opinion isn't fact :)

We are Oskar & Dan, two boys from Sweden who decided to change the course of our lives, drop out of university and live life full-time. We're currently trying to visit 100 countries before the end of 2022! By the time of posting this video, we're both 24 years old :)

Hahah trust me, you can find MUCH better beaches and all-inclusive hotels in Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril. Negril and Portland parishes have the best beaches in Jamaica, though Montego Bay has the world-famous Doctor's Cave beach (this beach is actually VERY nice- perhaps nicer than the one you stayed at in Ocho Rios). There is also A LOT more to do (in terms of excursions and nightlife) in Ocho Rios and Montego Bay (trust me). I always tell people that many parts of Jamaica remind me of Florida (though Jamaica is more tropical and natural/nature-like), and each parish feels like a different country. You should have gone to some of those majestic water falls and rainforests/visited Rick's Cafe! Hiking in the Blue Mountains and experiencing the caves is also a plus.

I'm a proud Jamaican and I watched both videos and I'm saying alot of Jamaicans can't enjoy Jamaica as much as you two do because of the small wages some of us get because of this corrupt system. I'm proud and jealous at the same time watching y'all.

Having Chinese food in Jamaica is EXTREMELY worth it. We have a wonderful authenic chinese- jamaican fusion thing and their migration here at indentured labourors is a huge part of out history

Mobay isn't the #1 destination in Jamaica- Negril is. Mobay is simply the resort town closest to the airport. Mobay doesn't have nice beaches hands down (blame the geography and beach erosion). Ocho Rios and St. Mary are awesome for beaches. Negril has the iconoc stretch of beach and has the most amazing sunset. If you ever do Negril try the restaurant "Push Cart" on the West End.

staying at an all inclusive hotel in Jamaica is not experiencing Jamaica it's always best to use a license Tour Operator for private Excursions to see Jamaica in all it's essence and beauty

Another great video of our beautiful Island. RIU didnt seem to have given you guys the true All Inclusive feel. Iberostar is a nice All-Inclusive resort in Montego Bay with lots of entertainment and things to do. If you get a chance to come back to Jamaica, i would love for you to consider visiting Negril and Portland, then you could talk about nice beaches. :)

I'm a travel agent, and let me tell you chose an all-inclusive brand that is on my do not sell list. There are other options that are so much nicer. At a real all-inclusive, there are all kinds of activities day and night.

Chinese culture is integrated into Jamaican culture so it actually makes sense to try Chinese Jamaican food in Jamaica. Riu has 3 properties in MOBay. I enjoyed the Montego Bay property when I went and wasn’t bored. I had to force myself to go on excursions to see the rest of the island. It was so nice to not have to worry about anything on vacation.

Jamaica is the place to visit… but you need to research the country to know where exactly to go to have the time and experience of your life. Or just ask the people!!! 🇯🇲❤️ we have sommer set falls, ricks cafe, Dunn’s river falls, mystic mountain, nanny falls, the blue lagoon, etc and nuff activities…

Loved the vlog, sad it wasn't one of our more exciting hotels with more activities available. Also it was very wise to be cautious when ordering the number of beds in the room. In Jamaica that can get really dangerous but it's not all places and all people. Would have loved to see you have more fun at one of the better all inclusive hotels and the more popular it is the safer it would have been for you to order one bed..... Anyway love from JA🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

Your time was short so you had to make hard choices. I wish you had chosen Negril instead of MoBay-- lots of water sports, cliff diving at Rick's Cafe with the breathtaking sunsets -- and doing Ocho RIos without climbing Dunn's River Falls....Huh? :)

@@vladovskibarrera9695 I'm assuming you're referring to Rick's Cafe? If it's not your thing, despite the reviews in TripAdvisor and from other travelers, Negril has other places to visit. But it sounds like Jamaica as a whole is not a good match for you...

There are many great resorts in Jamaica from low end to high end. You get what you pay for. Most have a entertainment crew that keep things going. Maybe covid have changed some things at many resorts with staffing shortages

I’d recognize that hotel room anywhere! I have stayed in many Riu hotels and I know those colors. All the rooms look the same in all their hotels. As far as things to do, people hang by the pool and drink or the beach and drink because it’s all inclusive. Lots of drunk people running around! All in the main focus is on water sports. Glad you guys finally brought me to a familiar place I’ve been several times!❤️👍✈️

If you don’t want to get bored at an all inclusive you have to book a few tours. I usually get a villa, so I can drive around and eat at different places. Next time Negril and Portland is a must see! Rick’s cafe is one my favourite places. Overall, great video! Big up oonuh self!!

I really enjoyed this!! RIU Ocho Rios is so much more fun but I can see why doing last day near airport makes sense. But seriously all inclusive is worth it. You don't have to worry but your meals and drinks, place usually has its own on property club and alway bring your own towel 😉. Best part is you can fins something to do but I enjoy doing NOTHING on my vacations.

At the all inclusive they front desk usually organized tours at an additional cost of nearby places such as Dunn’s river , Dolphin Cove etc.

Wow, love this video next time visit Dunn's river falls and Mystic mountain in Ocho Rios, then go to the Golden Eye hotel in Oracabessa in St Mary and visit James Bond Beach.

Honestly this was nice to see about the All Inclusive experience. My family and I are from Jamaica and will be visiting Jamaica in June. We decided before going to stay with family, we would stay 2 days in an All inclusive resort. I made sure to pick one with a Spa, plenty of restaurants, and water sports we would actually enjoy. Though we haven't gone yet, something tells me 2 days is all we will need :}

I was so happy when I saw you post this vlog! Totally made my night. :) I'm more of an adventure traveller, like yourselves, but sometimes, I enjoy an all inclusive for those times when you need to decompress and not have to think about anything because it's all taken care of for you. I've haven't visited Jamaica yet but I had an awesome 1 week experience at a place in Mexico. I laid on the beach for 7 days, read 4 books, and caught up on some much needed sleep after sampling all of the amazing cuisine! As always, looking forward to more travels in the near future! I love your videos and I hope you enjoyed your time in Jamaica. I am from Jamaica, now living in Canada. I lived eight miles from Ocho Rios when growing up. The hotel that you stayed in Ocho Rios is more of a guest house than a typical hotel. There are better places you could have stayed. The Americana and others. The all inclusive hotels have many activities. You will be bored if you don't speak with the entertainment coordinator. There are many tours, activities and night life. Check them out next time and don't lock yourself away in your room. 😆
