For Malaysian this kind of cheap room, we don't called it a hotel. It's kinda like a motel, for some people to you know do " that " thing.

I'm Malaysian, for us this is not a hotel. Just a place for people doing "bad things" 😅

i’m malaysian and people don’t really stay in those type of “hotels”. they stay in sunway, empire and other five star hotels. they say it’s full but i’m sure there’s no one there and they just want your money

This was four years ago, so I'm sure you're up to date by now. That's what a lot of bathrooms look like in Asia. A lot of the lower end hotels have the 2 for 1 deal in the bathroom. You could pretty much take a dump and a shower at the same time😀. Actually you guys got lucky it even had a shower in there, a lot of the rundown hotels offer only a bucket with a faucet coming out of the wall... That's your shower. That room was infested with bed bugs, but the ones you guys saw running around I'm pretty sure were just ants. As a matter of fact, a lot of people think that they have bed bugs, when in fact they have carpet beetles. They look very similar and can easily get confused for bed bugs. One of the big differences that help you tell, is that the carpet beetles have horizontal stripes on their back, and bed bugs are almost see through with a solid color. You can actually see the blood being sucked up through the skin if one is eating. You guys never wanna make trouble in one of those places, those run down hotels are used for exactly what you were thinking, and are usually owned by the yakuza.

This was honestly cleaner then the one I went to. I forgot the hotel name, but I was out with the fam and I was just visiting a place in India and it was so dirty. There were bugs everywhere, a huge hole in the ceiling that was leaking, etc. my dad also had to give them our passports which makes me shiver cuz we don’t know what they will do with that info. We had to pay a lot too. It was like $100 and up. We decided it was way too much to deal with so we decided to cancel and leave, but they wouldn’t let us until we paid a leaving fee which was just as expensive 🤦🏻‍♀️

Washing your clothing won't get rid of bed bug eggs. The only real way to efficiently kill bed bugs/eggs is to expose them to extreme heat. Also make sure you quarantine your other belongings that you have come in contact with before you treated your clothing. Bed bugs spread VERY quickly. The best option may be to throw out all your clothing that may have been in contact with the bed bugs before you go home.
