Don't listen those negative comments Eli. You are not a politician . You are not a soldier. You are there to follow your dreams and tell the world your world. Best wishes and many regards to you from USA .
I'm an old American dude of 77. This reminds me of my good old days. My father's family were all born in the 19 century. What divides people is usually a fiction and what brings us together is the human heart. I love how you make the pancakes!
I don't care what other people say about the Russian people, I myself think Russian people are beautiful and loving people, and hard working, great video, many hugs and kisses, I'm from the U.S
My daughter in law came here from Russia as a six year old. She had to leave because of religious persecution. She is the most loving and caring person. When this 90 lb. little person was pregnant with twins and working full time, she went each night to feed her husband's aunt who was in a nursing home. She also donated a kidney to her sister. The vast number of Russians are loving and peaceful. They, more than likely, aren't thrilled with the direction their leader has taken them to.
You don't owe anyone anything, you are completely innocent in all of this, Eli. We all know this. You just keep living your life as you were, and keep doing your thing.
@IMAM KE 13 ahlul bait yes you’re attacking an innocent Tartar women like a brainless rabid dog. Please stop bro. Go to the political channels and do that. Leave her alone.
@Ghost. I agree with you. Love from India ❤️. We all know, who are the main culprits in Ukraine Russia war. Western media is not telling truth to the public for which hatred got generated towards Russian citizens.
@@Swargadeo I'm in the USA. The media here has not even tried to portray the Russian citizens as responsible. I would agree that Western media is not telling the whole truth. I seriously doubt that the state run media in Russia is either. But here, I see simple joy, cats that don't want to walk on ice or in snow. I see Eli smiling. All of that seems genuine to me. In south Texas, no one I know blames the Russian people. And down here, It doesn't have to be that cold for us, our dogs and cats, to just want to stay inside. For me, it was good to see how her dad cuts the firewood, but I have central heat, the fireplace is the backup. We don't know how to snow ski, but water skiing is another matter. Ice skating? Roller skates. Different but somehow the same. I just found this channel today but I have watched her earliest and newest. She seems to promote understanding and knowledge of other peoples and cultures, focus on what we have in common rather than differences. We're all different, but we're all the same. You can tell a lot about a person, by how they treat animals. Eli is clearly a kind-hearted young woman who wants better things for this world than war. I wish her all the best!
Hi Eli...I grew up in a small mid-west American town surrounded by countryside where my aunt & uncle had a large farm. (I am 70 now and this was during the 'Cold War') But as a young boy hearing about the vastness of Russia and your cold winters, I couldn't help wondering how could life there be so different when we too were surrounded by vast countryside with many farms and experienced winters with big snows? And I still think there must be a great many things that Russians have in common with mid-western Americans. For instance: Love of country (not patriotism per se, but the surrounding earth where one grows up). Also, Love of family. Love of life, church, food, tradition, music, culture. Would not these loves unite us if we were to meet? Russian urban culture too must be preserved!!! It has produced unrivaled dance companies such as the Bolshoi, and gave us the modern theatre led by Checkhov & Staislavski. Russia gave us artists such as Rublev, Shishkin & Chagall, musicians as Tchaikovsky & Rachmaninoff, towering writers like Tolstoy, Pushkin and hundreds more genius' in each category. The exquisite, inimitable architecture of St. Basil's and thousands of Russian Orthodox churches! You Eli, prove that there is no better education than travel! With your open mind, acceptance of others and appreciation of different cultures, this is the hallmark of a true "student of life". I’m sure you value your travels. May you have many more beautiful ones in the future and surely you will because you bring a beautiful mind.

Thank you for your videos! I am from Wyoming (USA) and my grandmother was Russian. I know many Russian people and I have only respect for most of them. Every Russian I have met has been very friendly and generous. Keep on with your great videos!
Hi! I am from the US and I just wanted to thank you for what you are doing and teaching everyone about the Russian culture. I took a Russian language course in college, but since the conflict I've been trying to learn the language again. Instead of being angry, I've been trying to learn more about who Russians are as people and about their culture which is how I found you! I believe most Russians want peace and it's not fair that civilians are suffering. I hope you are well and safe!
What peace Kristen for the gods sake?? Russia had to stop the genocide going on in Ukraine against pro-Russian sentiment. The time Ukrops used to shell their people living in East is over. Russia wasn't provided security guarantees..so it had to happen. US has no moral ground to lecture someone on invasion and human rights record.

We can see it in your voice, your facial expressions and your body language. Finally, I am praying for the people of both Ukraine and Russia, as I know so many others are doing.

You stay true to who you are. We have come to love you all over the world. Prayers for ALL!!! Your Friend from the USA
I live in a forest. I am 700 feet above sea level in a small village 1 hour north of Montreal. I like to heat the house with mapple wood with a slow combustion stove. When I'm not at home it's electric heating. But it’s true that it’s a lot of woodworking, but it gets me moving ! We cook with gas and we have a generator connected to the electrical panel. This way, in the event of a breakdown, we are autonomous, a sort of ``off the grid`` living. It's sad that your dad is going to lose his traditional fire place, a beautiful piece of art. Say hello to him 😀👋
This video was Awesome !!! Thank you and your Father for letting us all inside your home ¡!!!! I used to look at things differently but came to a realization that around the world ,, we are all basically the same ,,, no matter what our governments do or say ,,, it's hard to dislike anyone once you spend some time with them !!! You are doing a great job Eli and we love you. Just so you know, your principal is our principal. Don't be discouraged by narrow minded and brainwashed people - they are know every thing about nothing. All your videos are best of the best. Thank you Eli.
No people should have to be responsible for the actions of their governments. All Russians aren't responsible for Ukraine. All Muslims aren't responsible for terrorism. All Americans aren't responsible for Iraq,Vietnam, and countless others. Keep doing what you do, Eli. I and many others love your videos. Russia is a stunning country, with beautiful culture and history.
Especially in a non democratic country: people in Russia are not accustomed to question their governments. And that's normal, if you consider their (recent) history. People in Russia are protesting against war but probably that's not enough. If thay cannot choose their government how can thay go against it?
@@andreaorofalo its called a revolution. The people of my country would fight and die rather than live under the thumb of some dictator. This is what Russian's needs to do.

We also need people to stay and promote peace after every one else is shut down. Not everyone is a hero, and the ones who judge seldom would be heroic themselves.
I appreciate your sentiments at the beginning. I am a U.S. citizen who taught English in Korea around the time my country invaded Iraq. This move by my government was particularly unpopular in S. Korea as they had the third highest troop levels in Iraq at the time. Somebody yelled at me in a public place... The irony was that I probably would've agreed with their critique of U.S. foreign policy had they given me a chance to speak. Eli, your videos cheer me up. Please continue to make them. Peace.
Fellow American here. Isn't it amazing watching people wag their fingers at Russia for the horrific crime of invading another country, after the US invaded Iraq in 2003 on a completely phony pretext? And how many civilian casualties did we cause in that war? Hundreds of thousands? Either people have forgotten about this already, or for whatever reason, they think it's somehow OK when we do it. And of course, Iraq isn't the only place where we've caused death, destruction and misery. We've left other trails of destruction in Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, we orchestrated the overthrow of the government in Egypt that made a mess out of that country, we're bombing Somalia, and we're helping Saudi Arabia bomb the snot out of Yemen. And for what? At least I can understand why the Russians would invade Ukraine. They don't want a military alliance hostile to them parking troops and missiles just over their border any more than we would like it if Mexico or Canada formed a military alliance against us with China and then stationed Chinese missiles just across our border. In fact, we didn't like it one bit when the Soviets tried to put ballistic missiles in Cuba. We were even ready to go to nuclear war to stop them!

I am an 86 year old Canadian grandmother and great grandmother. I would like to adopt you!! I loved this video, and wish you love and joy as you struggle to live in the negative environment where you now find yourself. Russia NEEDS your positive influence.
Canadians are so severely brainwashed by their government and by the CBC that they believe that Russians and everything Russian is bad, and when they somehow by some accident they get exposed to a Russian they can’t believe the Russians are actually nice people.
If course I don't support thus aggression!!!! But these young people have been so thoroughly brainwashed that they don't know truth from fiction and lies!
I feel bad for Russians dealing with the effects of Putin. I feel horrible for Ukraine. If Putin would stop then it would be a beautiful show of peace for our world. My heart breaks for the ordinary people.
I really like you're message at the beginning. I'm American but I also travel quite a bit, and I'm always saddened when I'm judged by the politics or history of my country and not by my own actions. I think our best chance for spreading peace begins with us on an inter-personal level and it looks like you do a great job of that. Thanks for the video!
In your lifetime did America try to seize another country by force and call it America? Would you still say that America is a great place? The only thing that can stop Russia is Russians and that's not happening. All they say is that the government and the people are two different things, which is like, no shit. But it's still their responsibility. Do they really expect Ukrainians to overthrow the Russian government to get them to stop killing them? How is hoping, wishing, and praying for something going to really make it happen?
What did you expect? That everybody believes America is wonderful. Well guess what many people think USA is full of ??. And dont buy the American dream.
It's ok to be saddened by that. I hope you can consider going to the Rage Against the War Machine protests in Washington DC soon to show that you want your country to not be one that people have such a visceral reaction to.
Bravo Eli! Thank you for bringing me the beauty of Russia and the Russian people. I appreciate you more than you know. Keep staying brave and safe. God bless
