I have a similar place that does the same here and I actually filet the breasts so I get 2 breasts out of every 1. It actually doubles my meat. Here they only do it every other month but that works for me. Lol

I love that you say, "everything that comes in your home should have a purpose, a meal idea". That's what I am doing. I have meals that we love, like and holiday foods. I am trying to stock up on and keep stocked on those items. I don't need to worry too much about holiday items, but the main meals are focused on. I do have some Christmas baking items packed away though. When I see a sale, I go for it. Thanks for the video.

My local grocery store is having their annual Can Can sale. All can good are $.50 and I stocked up. I went later in the evening as to not to take all the cans of food. I even did excellent at Costco ($599), Sam's Club ($188), and Sharp Shopper ($199.). You would have been so proud of me. And yes I menu planned for January and February. BTW our monthly budget for a family of 12 $1200.00, sometimes I rarely come close.

Girl how do you do $1200.00 for a family if 12? I have a family of 13 and the lowest I got us to was $1400.00, but that was before inflation 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m at $1800 now, living in Virginia. I’d love to hear any tips

I'm doing a pantry challenge with Becky from Acre Homestead. I did it last year. It really helped me save up all lot of money instead of shopping even though I still had tons of food at home and didn't need to shop.

I wish I could find deals like that on the pork chops and ribs. I put the ribs in my Instant Pot with Head Country BBQ sauce and chopped onions. I serve it with coleslaw and potato salad. The pork chops I put in the crock pot with 2 cans of cream of chicken soup and an envelope of Hidden Valley Salad dressing mix. Cook for 4-6 hrs, the longer you cook them the better they are. I actually double the soup and dressing mix to make extra gravy and serve it over rice with a veggie on the side. I paid $1.99 lb for a ham for New Years, I went to the store the other day and they were marked down to .99 lb. I only had room for one in my freezer or I would've gotten more. I may do some rearranging to see if I can get some extra room.

I add a paper towel to my bags when I vacuum seal meat. I have the most non deluxe model foodsaver and it doesn’t vacuum seal well if the meat is wet. This paper towel is a cheap trick and works well.

After the holiday season we found that dips ended up getting wasted and we lost money because normally there is only two people in our house, and we don’t eat a lot of dips normally so we worked out the flavours we liked the most. After some research we found out that most of the dips had a base of cream cheese, so now we are making our own and saving money because we are no longer throwing stuff out.

Wow the prices are fantastic, in a shop yesterday a dozen eggs $11.99 in Australia. The chicken at $1.99 a pound that is awesome. We are paying ridiculous prices for food here at the moment. I am very happy to have a vegetable garden, even considering chickens now as egg prices are set to keep rising. I am very happy to not be feeding a family, we are empty nesters with fur children.

I hear all these videos of people doing the pantry challenge, and I just can't do it! I keep a well stocked pantry to make sure we can make it through whatever happens in the future. If I did a pantry challenge, we would eat our surplus and it would be that much less I'd have and that much more I'd have to buy later. I shop sales as well and I'm happy to see you continue to stock your pantry! I wish we had stores like yours nearby.

I did grocery delivery last week. I usually don't because it's a $9.99 delivery fee plus we have a $0.05 tax on the bags, there were about 14 bags. But I wasn't feeling well so delivery it was. I ordered 2 family pack store brand chicken thighs at $0.99 a pound and I got a message they were out of the chicken thighs and asked if I wanted Perdue at full price. I said no cause I was only getting them since they were on sale. When the groceries arrived there were Perdue chicken thighs I set them aside till I sat down and looked at the receipt. Whoever my shopper was royally screwed up scanning everything in my favor. I wasn't charged at all for the chicken thighs, about $20. I ordered 1 1/2 pounds of Virginia Ham from the deli counter, it was packaged in 2 bags. They only scanned the 1/2 pound bag at $6 something. Also my raspberries weren't scanned. They missed $34 worth of groceries. Plus I already had about $35 in sale items savings. The Can Can sale is happening so I stocked up. In the end I saved about $70 by doing grocery delivery.

The rotisserie chicken in your area is expensive. The highest I've seen it in my area is $8. I just checked my grocery store's website, and the rotisserie chicken is on sale for $6. Such a good deal. If your local Walmart sells Keystone canned meat, grab that as the website says the Keystone chicken and beef is on sale.

Hi. Its 12:22AM here in Australia. I watch everything you post and have learned so much and been sooo inspired and motivated. Thankyou. How much did the eggs cost you for how many? Here I pay $5-$7 a dozen that converts to USA $3.49-$4.88 ! Also the mini? Slow cooker you use for fragrance - with fruit etc what size is that. Such a great idea and natural. We dont have the shopping options you have though we are gradually getting Costco stores…

Monk fruit with Erythritol is the only non-sugar sweetener that I can tolerate. I haven't tried baking with it but have read that it works out in a 1:1 substitution with sugar. Walmart (only place I've seen it) carries pints of Rebel ice cream made with monk fruit. It's really good, although I read recently where they have changed their formula. WHY do they do that? They make it good, then change it.

You can, but when you defrost it you can only use it on things you're going to bake. It won't be very good on bagels. That texture will change. Try freezing a very small portion and then defrost it to see what you think of it.
