.....yes, I am concerned for my 3 children.....who are being swallowed up by the world and have turned away from the Lord. I am concerned, who will pray for them when I am gone ? Who will be there to lift them up to the Lord every day...pleading His mercy for them, that He might enter into their worlds and "MOVE" them ! .....but I put my eyes on Jesus.....I trust that God is Good and He does ALL things well. He hears my prayers for them.....He is not willing that anyone should perish and does NOT delight in the destruction of the wicked. Blessed are they who "wait upon" the Lord....quietly....with patience.....eyes on Jesus...eyes on Jesus !!!
Our goal is to never shy away from preaching the full truth of God's Word. And we are thankful for Alistair Begg's faithful teaching at our National Conference
This is such a convicting, good word… it definitely sharpens the ears of those who hear it and gives courage to stand up for the absolute authority of the Bible.
It is so good to hear a Pastor like you still standing for truth and the word of God. Happy 71st birthday may God continue to strengthen you and pour out his grace upon you to speak the truth and take a stand. I attend a small church in Pennsylvania and we are at our lowest we have had members leave the church. We are a church that doesn’t bend to the culture of today. I was so encouraging to hear your message I believe Gods lend me to this video. God bless you!
Praise God! We are thankful that you have been encouraged by this video. We praise God that you attend a church that is faithful to preaching God's Word
We absolutely agree. Keep praying for pastors and missionaries to rise up and spread the Word. Pray ernestly, for "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few" (Matthew 9:35-38)
Alistair Begg played a huge role in which I became celebate and moved out of my, now ex-boyfriend's house. A decision I made through prayer, repentance, and with Jesus in the lead.
Thank you Alistair for being the best teacher I have ever heard in the 30 years of being a Believer,I'm seventy one next month too.Happy birthday to you ☺️
Thank you for your honesty in preaching the truth and absolute truth of the Bible. And so grateful we are able to hear this online. God bless you and let you preach HIS word for many years to come.
I just listened as i was doing some mindless work... i could hardly keep going in the sewing, i had to stop and affirm to myself the powerful message i was hearing. This is bookmarked so i can listen again and take notes! Thank you, pastor Begg!
What a powerful message. May we all submit to the authority of the Bible - God's Word. Let us take a stand for our Lord and Savior. My continued prayers for Pastor Begg and the leadership in the church to stand up. Thank you, Pastor Begg.
I love the truth of Pastor Begg even when he feels he is being harsh. I feel a sting from many of his words but still love the message > the messenger (Yet as good as the messenger may be). We need absolute truth especially in a world of so called “tolerance”. Their is no love in tolerance, only avoidance.
We trust that God continues to use Alistair in the preaching of His Word. We are glad this message has reached you in Australia, and we hope it has encouraged you!
Always excellent teaching from Pastor Begg ! I’ve listened to several of his lessons on Jude and in retrospect , I realize how neglected this book has been in the churches I’ve belonged to for my entire 50+ years 🙏
This is one of the best sermons I’ve ever listened to about the absolute authority of the Bible. I loved his statement that we can come as we are, but that doesn’t mean we are to stay as we are….Brilliant!
@@EXSVENRG That's correct. But we shouldn't misinterpret that to mean He's just going to let everyone into Heaven regardless of their deeds. Despite the section heading in many Bibles, Luke 16, verses 19 to the end is NOT a parable but an ACTUAL occurrence. If it's a parable, it's the only one where Jesus mentions someone by name.
Thank you pastor Begg, and thank you, Lord, for the trough of your word ! I have treasured your word in my heart, so I might not sin against you ! Psalms.119:11
Amen. We are so glad you felt encouraged from Alistair's teaching. Psalm 119:11 is a helpful verse to continuously encourage one another in treasuring God's Word. "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
A very good and Holy preacher.i enjoyed listening to him . Less out of the blue elbows to Catholic faithful.we also love your preaching.God Bless You .and thank you.
Wow ! What a challenge for the Church of today ! One of the Best Sermons i have heard in years and so needed, time to Wake up and contend for the faith.
Charles is committed to the worship of self and has already built a religion for the worship of world domination by self and built his shrine and institution, the World Economic Forum to go out into the world and make every knee bow to Charles. Charles is of the world in a big way.
I am agreeing as I find friends around me, once devoted to God and the Scripture - stop attending church or fellowship and saying “did God realllly say?” Etc etc and yes the LGB sadly is winning the culture wars
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined-and everyone undergoes discipline-then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.” (Hebrews 12:1-3, 7-8, 11-13 NIV)
Oh wow !! A elderly gentleman in the church I attended. Was what Jude has written ~ one of insidous behaviour was reading palm of young women's palm. Apart from only believing selected Scriptures at a coffee catchup that I had with him !! ▪︎ "ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches" 😪
I like listening to this good man and good preacher.i am Catholic,I'm onboard with this good man and his good message.but why the elbows to the faithful?
600 or 500 years ago there was clearly a big off the track problem that Luther pointed out .and he was right to do so .but please don't forget that the Catholic faithful are still here .
Rather than saying, "Stay the course," first, make certain that you are even on the 'course'. In John 7.38, Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Me..." Let's stop right there. Jesus is about to describe a person who is saved through the Cross of Christ. Conversely, it also describes the false Christian, those who have deceived themselves, those who will wind up in hell forever. The Bible says we should 'work out our salvation with fear and trembling.' I hope that you will not miss out the restoration of all things! Yet, most Christians will trivialized the words of Christ, saying, "Well, whatever that means!" Do not be a fool! So many times, Jesus has said, "Be careful how you hear"! Referring to the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them." Do you know what the Lord means? Are you filled with the Holy Spirit? Does He bear witness that you are saved? Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
How are all things restored (Apokatastasis) if some are in hell (a word that is a catch all for Sheol/Hades, Gehenna, Tartarus but not a correct translation) for ever. Colossians 1v15-20 is worth considering, this is not to say there is no judgement, for we shall all be judged. What we need to consider is the nature and purpose of that judgement.
@@stephengorman1025 For those who know Christ, who are filled with the Holy Spirit, all things will be restored in that there will be no more death or pain. The wicked shall not see this restoration, as unless they are born again, they cannot (and should not) enter heaven. What about you? How do you know you will make it? Thanks! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
@@kenshilohThank you for your response. My hope is in the death, resurrection and ascension of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through whom I have received forgiveness of sins. As Alistair Begg once said 'The man on the middle cross said I could come.' I look forward to seeing you there. God bless you and keep you.
@@stephengorman1025 I hope that you will bear with me, as Jesus said that most people who strive to enter heaven will not be able to. How do you know that you are pleasing in the sight of God? How do you know that Jesus will know you when He sees you and say, "Good job..."? How do you know that you are not one of those who say, "Lord, Lord," but do not make it? Thanks!
@@kenshiloh Happy to bear with you. Through the witness of the Holy Spirit and the gift of Faith received by the Grace of God who is steadfastly loving and faithful. The Lord make his face to shine upon you.
Oh what a truth the church finds itself in todays culture. The church, in general, today must accept much of the mess we find our culture in as it/we have succumbed to passively permitting the culture to subtlety yet profoundly accept the lie of separation of church from the livelihood of the citizenry, rather than boldly standing for the truth of the gospel and changing the culture to be more like Christ than like Satan! In the words of a Zach Williams song our daily walk should daily be about being a little more like Jesus and a little less like me. The church has lost its way in line with prophecy that the road is narrow and the gate is small that leads to life. Far too much of the church has gone by way of Matthew 7:22-23 by means of its own delusion!
It’s a fantastic sermon: tone, passion, gentleness etc. but the example at 40min missed the mark (for me). The message laid out well the subtlety of the lie working its way in; the adulterous husband is not subtle. The root cause is our inherent soulishness (verse 19). Try even talking about how the bible teaches us what is soul vs spirit and you will find a much more personally painful and widespread problem with respect to understanding one’s own salvation and unity in the church. Yet the first man is a living soul and the second is a spirit. A liar denies that Jesus (the son of man, a divine soul) is the Christ (Spirit, Christ in you, i.e. He was Spirit in bodily form, 1 flesh of the Will and Spirit of God), 1John2:22. May His grace and mercy lead us to the divine revelation of “his Son in me”, that we might be a glorious church (Gal1:16), laying down our lives.
All the really good preachers & ministers have either retired or passed away & church these days in 2023 is totally irrelevant because of who is doing the preaching !
What strikes me is the glaring contradiction of using Jude 3-4 to promote the teachings of a particularly licentious man from the 16th century. I submit that if you really examine the matter humbly and critically, you find that the success of sola scriptura is based more in the gospel of of “let’s do it my way” not the Master’s way. You become your own holy spirit because the real one is inconvenient. I’m constantly amazed at how nobody blinks an eye at the fact the JWs use the same doctrine of sola scriptura/personal inspiration to deny the Trinity and other Christian doctrines. If sola scriptura was true, and everyone can and should interpret scripture for themselves, why is it dividing us rather than uniting us? Why do we now joke, let’s make like a church and split? It is properly called Protestantism because it protests against “the Faith which was once delivered, for all, to the saints.” Submission to The Master, necessarily requires submission to The Faith.
It may appear that it could happen Yet what has Christ said Matthew 16:18-And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Yes the numbers may diminish, as we see in the parable of the sower, those in the rocks and weeds And John writes about those leaving the body of Christ. 1 John 2:18-19-18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
If you read Luther's later writings he is embarrassingly anti semitic. He is like all of us an imperfect vessel and like us all his work will be tested by fire. What remains will be worth keeping. He himself said God can use a bent stick to draw a straight line. Be encouraged, God is good and He is always good.
He has compromised the faith by his recent advice to a Grandma attending a transgender wedding. The authority of Gods must stand over the opinion of a man.
@@ThePossumone You are seriously mistaken. Anyone who reads a few of your bible's evil verses knows truth that you do don't or won't admit. For example, Leviticus 25:45-46 says "You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life." That very clearly says it's OK to own humans as property for life that can be passed down as property to your inheritors. By what possible alternate reading does that mean anything other than what it very plainly says? And please don't start with the "ancient way of life" crap. There are no "sunset laws" in the Old Testament. At no point does any of this hint at a "best used by" date. This is supposedly your perfect, unchanging god talking. At no point in either the OT or the NT does this so-called loving god say it is wrong to buy and sell another human and pass it down to your children. But this same god spells out what you must do if you sell your daughter to someone and he "is not pleased with her." This rule on how to own humans has the exact same "force of law" as the ten commandments. This god has the time and energy to lay down permanent laws against wearing clothes made of two kinds of fabric or eating shell fish. Before you go down the rabbit hole of a "new covenant" your Jesus was very explicit when he supposedly said he did not come to change the laws of the old testament but to enforce it all the way to "the last jot and titel." Nope, your book is evil - and by supporting its obvious evil - so are you.
@@ThePossumone you are avoiding the subject. Leviticus 25:45-46 "45: You may also buy from among the strangers who sojourn with you and their clans that are with you, who have been born in your land, and they may be your property. 46: You may bequeath them to your sons after you to inherit as a possession forever. You may make slaves of them, " Is that evil, yes or no?
@@JoeHarkinsHimselfthe only reason you can call something immoral is because God has put a transcendent eternal moral law into your heart. He made you in His image with these faculties. There’s no other explanation for morality outside of God. You can’t come up with an explanation for morality without God. You can sit in God’s lap and reach up and slap His face, but in the end it will not go well for you. You don’t sit in judgment over Scripture, you are judged by it. Do you think you know what is evil better than the Maker of the cosmos does? God has seen more evil than you can begin to fathom, He knows its wickedness more than any created being, and no one has done more about it than He has. Jesus came to set captives and slaves free. And He will set you free, if you see Him for who He is and repent.
@@tjkhan4541 First of all, I never used the word "immoral." That is either your casual mis-reading what I said or a deliberate, but failed attempt at strawmaning. Maybe both. Regardless of which, the rest of your comment is dependent on that mistake and therefore irrelevant. Is it evil for one human to own another as property, yes or no please?
I absolutely love Alistair Begg’s sermons. He is truly anointed by God. One day I was painting my dining room walls and had Rev Begg’s sermons on continuous play for about four hours, and I never got tired of hear what he had to say. From what he just said about his upcoming birthday we are only three years apart in age. He teaches what I grew up hearing every Sunday morning and evening, and Wednesday evenings, and revival weeks. May God continue to bless Alistair Begg and his ministry and his family❤
We are so thankful for Alistair's ministry at Truth for Life. We at The Timothy Trust hope we can continue to encourage pastors to stand firm in the truth of God's Word. We hope our resources and events help Bible teachers do this faithfully
This certainly wasn‘t hard to listen to! Quite on the contrary! When the Holy Spirit speaks with such clarity, the beauty of language expressed through His servant causes to hunger for more, yes even more of Jude! What a rich blessing! Thank you Lord! ❤🙏
Oh Mr Begg, you are such a gifted wonderful man of God. 🙌🙌 A friend in Zimbabwe introduced my husband and I ( living in Spain) to you about a year ago. We often play one of your videos as part of our quiet time in the morning and even often listen to another in the evening. You have become our favourite preacher after years of having John MacArther and Gary Hamrick as our preachers of choice. John MacArther is amazing too. I share many of your tapes with others and always get positive responses. I cannot thank you enough but i do know that The Spirit is leading you. Long may you bless us with your wonderful preaching. Happy birthday, and May God richly bless you and your family. X Sheila Hattle.
This subject is a tough one. One of the toughest. Being and living as a Christian today, IS A FULL TIME JOB. On top of other priorities we have getting done. I pray daily, for Strength.
Well done, good and faithful servant of the LORD Jesus Christ. All of scripture is needful. God bless and keep you Alistair. See you one day standing before our beloved Savior. Amen
Thank you so much for speaking the truth in such a humble non threatening way!! So much spiritual darkness and the lamps of the truth are being hidden instead of shining brightly to engage the enemy by lovingly speaking the truth. We definitely need to be more cunning when engaging the enemy and his deception. God keep his hedge of protection around you always!!!!
GOD BLESS MY BELOVED PASTOR ALISTAIR BEGG FOR PREACHING ALWAYS THE EVERLASTING WORD OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST AS IT IS AND GOD BLESS THIS CHANNEL AND THOSE WHO ARE WORKING THERE, IN CHRIST JESUS'S MOST HIGH AND HOLY NAME, I pray, Amen ✝️👑🙏❤️
We agree! We also need faithful Bible teaching, which is why we have committed ourselves to equipping pastors for the work of expository Bible teaching. This is the same style of preaching as Alistair
Doing that for the well-being of the patient- that's what Jude is doing! And that is what Pastor Begg is doing too! Isn't He calling us out of the world?
I enjoy listening to Alistair and he provides much to consider and reflect upon. However when he talks about the faith once delivered I have to diverge from his Calvinistic interpretation of the Gospel. It is certainly not what many of the early Church Fathers believed regarding the Good News.and I would argue neither did the Apostles. My prayer is that whilst I agree Salvation is found in Christ alone we also nerd to learn the leghth, breadth, height and depth of God's love and his desire for all of Mankind not just the elect. May God bless you and keep you.
After what he did with abandoning the sovereignty of God’s word, I will never listen to another sermon by him whether it be early in his career or from now on. I can’t trust his heart.
