On the 5:30, when you cover East Slavic texts, there is one small phrase, very interesting and yet you haven't told about it. I'm talking about uppermost quote - "Аще кто крестить вторую трапезоу, родоу и роженицам, ТРЕПАРЕМЪ СВѦТЫѦ БОГОРОДИЦА... да боудеть проклѧтъ" - "If someone sanctifies second meal to the Rod and Rozhenitsy with troparion of Virgin Mary... may he be cursed" In fact, that's the only ritual that we know from East Slavic sources - all others just tell the names of those deities, and, as you mention afterwards, Rod appears independently a couple of times. But lets return to troparion. If you will look through redactions of "Слово святого Григория, изобретено в толцех..." and "Слово некоего Христолюбца, ревнителя по правой вере" you'll notice that information about that same ritual appears only in one (and same) compilation - originated from Novgorod. Also in that compilation there are some texts that make understanding of what is "second meal" quite clearer. An article called "Рече Господь" tells us of a Novgorodian custom to pray twice while eating - before the meal to Jesus Christ and after the meal - to the Virgin Mary. So, we can tell quite confidently that in Novgorod there was a local custom - to give second meal to the Rozhanitsy while singing Virgin Mary Troparion because of infuence of a custom to pray second time to Virgin Mary after meal. Also there is another proof of some interjection of Rozhanitsy and Virgin Mary - from that same Novgorodian compilation. Thats a fragment which tells us that abovementioned custom was teached to the Slavs by heretic Nestorius himself - "Се буди всѣмъ вѣдомо яко нестории іеретикъ наоучи тряпѣзу класти рожаничную, мьна Богородицю члкородицю" - "That will be known by everyone, that Nestorius the heretic taught to give meal to Rozhanitsy, CONSIDERING VIRGIN MARY (woman. who gave birth to God in Russian) TO BE THOSE WHO GAVE BIRTH TO HUMAN" - and again as you can see texts mixes the images of Virgin Mary and Rozhanitsy. I have a text of this whole compilation (Софийский сборник 1285) with an article, talking about Rozhanitsy in this whole big text by N.V.Savelyeva. It isn't available online, but I can provide you with photos if you want (and can read Russian, lol)
