To everyone who thinks this storyline is stupid and not important... Perhaps you were never bullied for the colour of your skin. Perhaps you weren't ganged up on in the bathroom and slapped against the wall. Perhaps you were never picked up off the ground and duct taped to lockers. Perhaps you weren't the one who clasped a bottle of pills, or a razor, thinking that you just wanted it to end. ... ... Or... Perhaps you were the one who was always listened to, in the principal's office, even though your shoe prints were still fresh in a person's skin. Perhaps all you had to do was squeeze out a tear and say "well, I NEVER!!" and you were sent on your way. Perhaps you were the one who *gave* that person the razor, thinking "they'll never do it"... When words are used as weapons, we are *ALL* responsible, and THAT'S why this storyline is SO IMPORTANT... So PLEASE think before you post ❤️
I definitely dont think this storyline is stupid I think Ste is stupid. This stronyline issue just breaking my heart and making me love Misbah even more. I stand with the Maleks.

As a mix race person who lives in the beautiful multicultural London. This is so hard and painful to watch, how can they treat others like this. Despicable!
Because they are jealous, ignorant cowards. What is even more disgusting about this story line is a gay man who has faced discrimination and bigotry think that it is fine to show that ugliness to others. Ste has done some stupid things on this show but this racist behavior is the lowest. Because of this story line, I have lost all hope, sympathy, and caring for Ste. The only thing I hope for is this crap backfires in Ste's face and he regrets his actions more than anyone and that regret makes him crawl on his hands and knees to beg Misbah and her family for forgiveness.
Sally should be ashamed of herself. She of all people who experienced hate herself should know better than this. I know this is just a tv show but I don't care I'm so mad I can spit because it reminds me that this happens in real life.
the irony of stuarts kid reporting imran for being radicalized when he is being radicalized by his father. This episode seems to be taking a much darker tone so i'm guessing that ste will be becoming for hardline soon and this is when the storyline will really take up as he is now aware how racist they are and is defending them highly.

SALLY FFS! I COULD SCREAM RIGHT NOW! Right, I don't normally do stuff like this...but here's my rant about everything wrong with this storyline:- "I think it may be a case of radicilization." As a TRANS woman, she should know better than anyone to not jump to conclusions! Why would Imran threaten to attack the school? What, because he's muslim? She needs to investigate it rather than jumping to conlusions! Ollie is a witness, and surely they have CCTV cameras with microphones? I mean, it is 2019 after all... Sally didn't do JACK SHIT when Sienna reported Laurie. All she did was suspend them. She even went as far as to BLAME the victim for her bad past. Not long before that, she accused Harley of stealing, JUST because of her bad past. Now she's jumping to conclusions because some entitled white kid told her that Imran, THE ONLY MUSLIM KID IN THE SCHOOL, threatened to attack the school? What is it with her and jumping to conlusions, simply based on people's bad pasts? She has a bad past. She abandoned her own son! Yet you don't see people judging her for that, do you? And what was it about THIS complaint that was so much more believeable than Sienna's? Did she not pick up on the fact that it could've just been a racist attack on Imran? She didn't even talk to Imran about it, she just rang up and reported him! Some head mistress she is! Am I right? You're supposed to take all sides and fully investigate with CCTV, witnesses, etc. I mean, GOD DAMN! If you're going to take such a severe complaint seriously, DO IT RIGHT! This show is really pissing me off at the minute. None of it is logical! Why don't the police ever investigate these things? How are there so many crooked cops? How does literally EVERYBODY get away with murder? Why was Buster only sentenced to 6 years for abusing TWO MINORS? I know he abused several more, but he wasn't charged for those. He was charged for the sexual molestation of TWO MINORS who were UNDER HIS CARE, and he only got SIX YEARS??? They try so hard to bring light to serious problems such as rape, sexual assault, pedophilia, teen pregnancies, addictions such as gambling addiction, drug addiction and alcoholism, miscarriages, infertility, single parenting, bullying, racism, islamaphobia, homophobia, transphobia, mental illness, homelessness...hell, name a problem in the world today and they've probably covered it! However, they don't do it correctly. It's so unbelievable! I am so close to just not watching the show anymore. It doesn't make any sense! Why does Ste believe everything that comes out of the mouth of Jonny, his so-called long-lost brother, whom he didn't even know about until what, this year? Last year? He doesn't even believe the rest of his family, who he's known a hell of a lot longer! Leela has ALWAYS been there for him, yet he's not listening to her! Jonny comes along, stops him from drinking alcohol ONE TIME, shows him a picture of his mum and says, "I'm your brother", and suddenly they're acting like they've known each other since birth? Surely he sees how racist Stuart and Jonny are, right?? HOW CAN HE NOT??! This storyline better end soon *and in the correct, realistic way* or I swear to God, I will stop watching. End of rant.

While I DO realise this is a soap opera, for me, it's Sally's character that has really has me heated. Everything with Laurie, and now THIS? OPEN YOUR EYES, SALLY. I agree with you 1000%. Ste is a fool to the core. You're suppose to become wiser as you get older but Ste gets dumber as each day passes. As for Sally, I'm just disgusted with her. She should be fired because her judgement is complete screwed up.
OMG. My fears are starting to come. As myself being a brown non- Muslim man, I felt very sad for that Malik's family. How can people live with that constant fear all their life. I didn't know that about Australia. I've heard Italy is racist too and read a lot of testimonies on line about it. It was one of the countries I'd hoped to visit. Not anymore.

As others have pointed out, you should NEVER act on these allegations without verifying them. Upon reflection, I've decided that Sally's actions were correct. A headmaster's first duty is to protect the students at her school from threats, real or otherwise.

Don't say that. Believe it or not, that ugliness is everywhere. In every country, in every city. Sadly, where there are people, you will find racism. If you think your country, state, city, community, neighborhood does not have racism in any form, you're going to very disappointed.

Sally disappoint me though, y would she take the word of a new student over that of one she knows and why not investigate the claim first before reporting.
